No ordinary Cup or League Mode in PES2012??

Are there no Cup Mode or LEague Mode???

I want to play PL or La Liga with a mate, choosing one team each?

Yes there is both - about the fourth selection over on the main menu. We also have community mode again for more customized leagues and cups.

Do you know if editing/moving players will strike through your saved league.

Eg. starting a league with Arsenal and then they buy Messi and I want to transfer him in Edit Mode - will he show up in my saved League?

good question - I don't know the answer for sure - I hope that they are updated through saved league or option within a saved league to do it (better option imo) but I am pretty sure I read complaints on the demo version that this was not possible. I will probably start a season tonight and can give it a try.
