The last Footy game I really played was FIFA 04, which finally revealed to me the news that EA Sports blows. A while ago, I picked up WE8 for my XBox but I never really put much time into it, so busy was I playing other things.
But for the summer, to celebrate the world Cup, I went out and got WE9 for the XBox.
The Good: I love it, I think it's the best representation of the sport by far.
The Bad: I suck. A lot. "Barely beat Northern Ireland with Brazil 1-0 on 3*" suck.
I'm more than happy to plough my summer into learning this game and improving however, but, from what i've read, there's a ton of hidden tricks and advantages you can get in the game that aren't listed in any tutorials and such.
I'm wondering if there's a Newbie tutorial out there somewhere that will begin to teach the finer points of dribbling (and not getting constantly tackled by some tool on Djurgardens), defending, and the like. I know practice makes perfect, and i've spent some time in the training ground already ttriyng to figure things out, but lord, please tell me some kind soul went out and penned a "How To" guide for those who aren't familiar or are new with the series, but have become converts nevertheless.
