Online - Alternative Methods?

Hello all (1st post), I brought PES6 for the PC from a little gaming store, it wasn't in shrink-wrap but I didn't think much of it.

When I got home, I discovered my registration code and already been registered... I guessed someone must have been able to get access to the back of the manual, and registered a password for themselves. Anyway I'm going back to the shop on Sunday to get an exchange/refund. But I've got the game, I really want to play online. Is there any alternative methods of playing against other people without having to register?

Did you try it again? I bought mine yesterday at ASDA and when I got home to register it online, I got the same message which I was shocked. I clicked back and typed it in again just incase of any misspellings and it worked. If it doesn't work, you could try emailing Konami. I take it you would have got a reciept so if the above doesn't work (or appeal to you), then refund it and buy it from a more known store.

Yeah try again and make sure you type everything correctly.

Else..

I really hate those dishonest shops. They give you refunded games or they themselves sell the user keys to others.

Make sure you check your new purchased game in future that it is fully sealed. No excuses from them. I hear craps like "this is the last one we have, take it or not, or this is the display set, or its just scratches"

I experienced once and it's fucked up.

I tried it over and over :( it didn't work, the thing is they only charged £20 for it (and gave me a free hour of game play time in store, it's like a multiplayer cafe) I think the guy seems reasonable, I think he'll return the game, hopefully he'll have a shrink-wrapped one. How much did you get PES for from Asda?

I'm not going to buy a game unless it's shrink-wrapped from now on. I've learnt my lesson from this :(

Same thing happened to me - not shrink-wrapped from play.com.

Also it wouldn't let me register the cd key.

Make sure u are trying with capital letters in the cd key and triple check u've got it right.

Should fix it :)
