before you do anything else, download kitserver and install it properly. open the setup.exe file in the C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2009\kitserver folder and click on the "Install" button, make sure for BOTH files, it says "KitServer installed CORRECTLY for this folder"
i had a lot of trouble replacing stadiums when i first started getting into modding/patching PES09, and i couldnt find any FAQ or guide online. i finally figured it about a month ago so here are the original files for the original stadiums
now, when you download a stadium file (from pes-patch.com, etc), you get either 12 files or 14 files (correct me if i'm wrong, but so far i've only seen 12 or 14). to replace a specific stadium (such as mohammed lewis or bristol mary), change the filename of the download .bin files to the ones corresponding to the original PES stadium listed below. the beginning of the filename doesnt matter. the file names can be pigsfly_XXX.bin or unnamed_XXX.bin or emirates_XXX.bin, it doesnt matter. what matters is the _XXX.bin part of the filename. then copy your new stadium files to C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2009\kitserver\img\cv09.img after you delete the original stadium files for the stadium you want to replace (see below)
if your download comes with 14 files, rename them to all the numbers under the stadium you want to replace. if your download comes with 12 files, rename them to everything BUT the bolded numbers
