Patches - which is the best out there......

Hi guys, I am in the process of sorting out a patched version of PES3 and I wondered what peoples opinions are on which is the best patch ?

I am an Arsenal fan & if I am honest prefer club football ( bread n butter) to internationals - although I will be out there cheering the England boys on at the Euro's !!!!

Is there a particular patch which is better for club teams ?

I have heard that the chants are much better in patched games so again guys is there a particular patch with great Arsenal chants on ?

This is obviously the first time I have done this so apologies if this has been discussed before, but I wonder if the latest is best or there are others which still do it for some people ?

Pretty much all the PES3 patches are made by jonboyo. He uses the latest Solidus J2K chants on them.

Haven't seen a patch more geared towards clubs yet. hitman said he was working on an English Clubs patch. There is more variety for WE7 patches.

For WE6:FE there was a Wendetta Clubs patch which replaced all the national teams with top clubs and all the clubs turned into Italian sides. It was quite good. Maybe they'll do the same for WE7.

Do you know which Arsenal chants are in there ?

Go for the newest one. Don't know much about the chants but I know there are special ones for Man United, Liverpool and a couple of other non-English teams.

do you know which the latest one is ? I assume I download it from the lomungtung ftp site ?

Is it like a one patch fits all or do i need to download seperate ones for Kits, stadia, ad hoardings etc ?

Mate, I know I have done nothing but ask questions so far but like I said before once I get all these early questions out of the way I can get on with contributing TO this very helpful and informative site !!!

I sent my PS2 to Gordon at the Barra's today, he said I will have it back by Thursday - THAT CANNOT BE GRUMBLED AT !!

Are there any screenshots available of the patched game? Preferably of Blackburn...but if not then any English teams will do

I don't have the stuff to patch the game yet, but if it looks good enough then I might do it.

Just a thought...are any of the saved goals from patched games?

I've been asking for some pictures of patched games in the Editing section. Not much on offer at the moment.

Maybe some of the goals at issextreme and showusmiracle.com may be of a patched game.

Zyg mate, I have downloaded 5.1.04.ppf and now when I try to patch it's telling me that "5.1.04.ppf features an unknown encoding method !

Mate I have been trying to do this all day and now that 1 neurone is on the blink, do you know of a link that will tell me what I can do to fix this. I have been using the patching guide and reading the guides all the way but now my head is hurting and I'm starting to feel a bit frustrated and very confused !!

I said OK to that and patched it as normal. Burned at 1x and it works fine. Just did all that tonight too. Don't worry.

Maybe I am just a bit too tired now, tried to do that but it just told mo to "Insert a ppf file, silly !" & didn't accept the 5.1.04 file into the command box.

That made me feel great so I think I will leave it for now and give it another go in the morning.

I hope getting my ps2 chipped ain't gonna be one big waste of money, feels like i'll never get there !!!!

My symapthies go out to all you other guys who have been here before !!!! Frustrating is just slightly an understatement !!!!!!

Unrar the file you downloaded with WinRAR first. This should give you a folder containing the .ppf file plus an X-Port file. Use the ppf.

im sure it'll be worth it, zyg and larsson can solve anything they will get it working, unless gordan has shafted your ps2, but lets hope not

I think I was just a bit too tired to think properly yesterday but I am gonna give it another go this evening.

Yeah Zyg and Larsson seem to be well on top of the game, although I have to say everyone has been really helpful and patient even though they must get a bit p155ed off with newbies asking the same questions day in day out.

I do try to read & search for the solution before asking many times repeated questions...........HONEST Larsson !!!!!!

Yeah I have every faith that its worth it, was just a bit grumpy last night !!!

Yeah, I'm a noob but I don't ask repeated questions, though. I just read Zyg's or larsson's post's. I'm getting ready to patch a game for the first time. I'm sure I might have a few issues but I've got a guide that I reference.

Yeah I bet it drives them mental !!!!

It all seemed to be goin fine, but I just got stuck on the ppf o matic part, it wouldn't accept the ppf file, even though I thought I had everything by the book ie downloaded the latest patch, unrar'd it, it even said it was a ppf file but that it features an unknown encoding method. Gonna read through the RAR guide first & then try again, I'mn sure thats where my problem is. Think I will download the patch again too !!

Would I be right in thinking that once I have the FLASH++PES3 ripkits file from lomuntong I don't need the confusion.rip aswel do I ?

The 'Confusion rip' means a rip of a retail PES3 which you can make yourself using the jonboyo guide. Either 'find' the confusion version or make it yourself which isn't that hard.

Like I said earlier, you've done everything right so far and all you need to do is to make it patch. Just say OK to the error message.

Don't know about larson but I don't mind questions that much. Just trying to help out if I can. But it is appreciated when people read through a relevent thread first

Zyg mate, I am getting in a bit of a mess here, I thought after last night that I would start again from the beginning now I think that was a bit of an error of judgement !!

I have 2 questions to ask if you don't mind ?

The first is when I use this guide :

What you need-
a)Isobuster
b)FLASH-PES3++RETAIL++CFN.rar - on lomuntungs ftp (PES3 - ripkits folder)
c)CDmage beta
d)DVDSCAN2-download http://rip5.topcities.com/dvdscan2.htm
e)nero or whatever to burn disc.
f)ppfomatic3
g)Patch ppf
e)1 fully functioning neurone.

Am I making a copy of the confusion rip ? ( you may have guessed that this is a bit of a sticky point for me )


The second is : I noticed there is an update to the 5.1.04 patch ie the 7.1.04 , so, do I have to patch the 5.1.04 first and then 7.1.04 or once I get to point "g" in the above list would 7.1.04 contain all the that is in 5.1.04 plus the extras ?
I think I have to patch both but if you don't mind confirming this it really would help speed up the process for me !!

Sorry mate, I am sure it's all this is explained somewhere but I am struggling to locate ( or perhaps understand ) it and so far every time I ask you a question I get the reply I really need !!
