I live in the UK and have PES 2008 on the ps3 with all the offical updates from konami downloaded. I have just come to Thailand and have bought a copy of Winning Eleven 2008. Even though the japenese ps3 here is connected to a 1080p 42" pioneer HD tv the graphics are worse than on through my ps3 on my tv at home using pes2008 which isn't hd and is connected via component. The graphics of pes 2008 are also worse on the tv here as I have brought the disc with me. Its very strange as the set up is better and other games played here have superb graphics.

Graphics aside, winning eleven 2008 definitely plays better than pes 2008, it plays really smoothly and has extra difficlty level-superstar. I am going to bring back with me to the UK as discs are not regional apparantly.

Does anyone know if the reasons for the graphics getting worse is due to official updates that have been sent out??

Also does anybody know if the pes2008 kit updates are compatible with winning eleven?

the patch for pes2008 downgrades the graphics in order to address some of the framerate issues. However I have seen no difference in graphics in my version of WE2008 even after installing the patch.....

I installed the patch as when I first played the game so I don't know what it was like before. The graphics are crap with this patch!
