Just visited my local game store and he told me that Pes 4 is now releasing on the 26th wtf .Really pissed .I was hoping that it was going to be released on the 19 .

Fraid to say this guys (even though it contradicts the press release) but three of the big boys have put the date back a week (play, game, and gameplay) and they wouldnt do this unless they were pretty certain. And to finalise this heres my conversation with a gameplay rep from 10 mins ago:

Somebody at Konami must have made a mistake, cause the press release was also sent out yesterday. Why would they, in the same day, release a press saying it's released on the 19th and send en email saying it's released on the 26th?? Somebody at Konami has screwed up i guess..

First of all, we do not know if the release has been delayed. The one in the email might as well be the wrong one. Second of all, a week extra of developement is not gonna do much to the game, at maximum they may be able to fine tune it, but we are, at max, 3 weeks away from release and a game needs to go into production at least two weeks before releasedate, so don't count on any big changes on this account.

6 weeks - 2 weeks = 4 weeks to make changes.
If Konami can make an awesome iimprovement to ''WE8: JLeague'', then PES4 on the Xbox should be a walk in the park.

Konami might have pushed it back due to sales tactics i.e. microsoft want Halo 2 to be the big new game out for a while or prehaps some other sales reason? but again the delay could be due to anything, I suppose if they need a few more days to iron out some bugs then im happy with it. Oh and a guy on evo web also has confirmation of the delay to the 26th after someone phoned the london konami head office. And for those stuck fast on still thinking its still gonna be released on the 19th, why on earth would konami email all the main suppliers to let them know of a slight delay on the orginal release date, if it wasnt going to happen?

The game would have gone gold, at this late stage it is too late I would imagine, I cannot believe they are still working on the game. I think the hold up is either strategic or there are some sales/marketing probs to iron out.

Again the suppliers simply wouldnt say a game was out later than it is for sales reasons. Im guessing the press release was prepared when they still thought the game was gonna be out on the 19th? Something must have happened or changed thus they emailed all the suppliers to let them know of the new release date, happens all the time.

Although it says 5.11 on the top, i know for a fact that it was only put up on the site this monday. So i don't know what that is about. The whole thing would make a bit of sense though, if the press release was actually written on the 5th, and the releasedate delayed on monday then.

Its certainly true, also seen confirmation today after another forum mod spoke to Konami PR company who said
"I was told to send out the 19th date, but two minutes later the 26th was confirmed. The timing could not have been worse! As such, PES4 Xbox will be out Nov 26th."
You never know it could be that is PES4 is only delayed in the UK and still released in Europe on the 19th? So those desperate enough may be able to pre-order it from abroad and still get it shipped here before the 26th? Hopefully someone will get confirmation as to whether its been postponed in Europe as a whole or just the UK. Though I do suspect it will be a general European delay.
