PES would not be the same without Video Replays

The video replay function has always been a major part of PES.

Their is a question regarding this though. I have seen many of the goals on showusmiracle.com or whatever the site is again. When I play the replays on my PS2 for Pes 2 & 3 I can not get the view from just behind the player and for the camera not to follow ssay 5 yards behind the box.

Their has been replays where I have seen Beckham taking the trademark free kick but the camera stays behind him and you see the ball curl up and over the wall into the goal. SO you can really see the effect of the ball.

Is this function only on PC versions or can it be done.

you mean making the camera stay focussed on the player?

press r2 or l2 until you find the player you want, and the camera will rotate around him as opposed to the ball. put the camera behind him for a free kick and it wont move (unless he runs off in mad celebration-lol)

hope this is wot u were looking for.

I have tried that! If it is a player that doesn't kick the ball camera stays focused on the player. If he kicks the ball then camera tracks the ball. I have seen replays on the site where player takes free kick and it has their name on bottom of screen. An dcamera stays focused.

Try it. I bet you can't do it! If you can sort it out then you are truly the holy one!!

Are you sure you're focused on the player? As they (the player and the ball) start in the same place you might be focused on the ball and not the player, as in PES3 you don't get the name appear at the bottom of the screen.

press select when u first view the replay, then press r2/l2 and it will have the name of the player.

as mambo says, you may think you're on the player when you're on the ball, as it doesnt say the player name by default.

In addition to this, thankfully theyve put in an action replay where you can playback parts of games at any time during the game and save them. This is wicked if your keeper has just made a top drawer save or your players do a flick or 360 spin. I thought they would have put it in PES2 but at least its there now. Well done Konami.

It's just a shame you can't replay when the ball quickly goes out of play.

I've had a few frantic goal mouth scrambles that I wouldnt've minded looking at again, only for the ball to go out of play and the replay option to be unavailable. Better than nothing though.

ashleybrunt and Mambo have explained it perfectly glenn, still having problems?

Does anyone wish the replays could be longer? I'd really like to see the play and/or well excecuted pass that led to the final strike. It would take a little longer to load, however, but I think that's a small price to pay.
