PES4 Jonboyo Freezing

OK, I burned the Jonboyo patch onto a DVD, following all of the directions, step by step, and I've done it many times, on different DVD's and the problem still happens. Here is what's happening:

Everytime I play my patched Jonboyo PES4, it freezes after 5 minutes or so, than, I reset my PS2 and it works perfectly. So basically, it only works on the second try, and it's really annoying to wait for it to freeze so I reset and play normally. Does anyone have a solution to this, the DVD's are in mint condition so I don't know what the problem could be

I don't know much but i think it could be your laser maybe. Also, try and buy the dearest DVD-R's. The better the quality, the less chance of things like this happening.
