How do I stop my players from automatically slide tackling opponents by themselves? They keep making bad tackles and I'm not the one telling them to. It's been happening for a while now, but I'm starting to get pissed at it. :realmad:

unfortunately u cant stop it, its jus another stupid thing konami have done to the game.

the only thing i could suggest is to try not to hold the close down button (x button) for too long, try and time it right and 8 times out of 10 they should stay on their feet doing this also helps reserve your players energy through out the match.

It doesn't really help that the computer gives red cards for okay tackles either.

I find that my centre backs love a slide tackle in the penalty box. Normally when the player in posession is on the goal line (other side of the posts) and simply standing up and pressuring would do.

However, it tries to balance itself out....

I've have a run of 3 or 4 games every season where one of the oppo's players gets red carded for basically being near the ball. I'm all for charity but i'd prefer a fair game.

yeah, really. it's when that happens that pisses me off the most. this happened to me so many times in manager mode. one time, i was only playing a bs round but i need that player for the next round and i was already 3-0 up in the 87th minute, no need to slide tackle in the box.

i also notice that sometimes, strikers "shoot" the ball by themselves too. when i pass the keeper, i prefer to walk the ball into the net, but sometimes the player just shoots when the game thinks its a good moment. and frustratingly, one time my player passed the keeper, shot, and MISSED. good job konami...

i hope in pes10, konami gets rid of this "feature." i dont need the AI deciding when to tackle, shoot, or clear the ball for me for me
