Playing against you guys online...

I'll be up and running online from early next year, and having never played against anybody online I noticed quite a few of the guys who regularly post on here are 360ers, so I'm wondering if you guys play the game in good spirit, like you would against a mate?

The reason I ask is that our kid set up his PS3 last night for online play and his first game he played some dude and lost 5-1, our Luke scored a 30 yarder but this guy scored all 5 goals by drawing the keeper and squaring to an unmarked player, something which i find fucking infuriating :realmad: Ok, I admit to doing it against the computer when I NEED a goal, but not against a 'real' opponent, I don't find it in good spirit to do stuff like that.

I always play to try and score good goals, and win with a bit of style if I can, I'm wondering if when I do get started you guys would play against me and give us a decent, fair game?

Wait...
I don't play that much online, but I try to score stylish goals when I play. You have more of a laugh playing relaxed like that and not taking it too seriously.

Those cheap goals are known as "cutbacks" and you can see many thread about them since PES5 was released and many people feel the same way. Online, you will often come across children who want to win and who will always use this method to try to score.

You can try to learn to block the cutback pass or you will have to avoid these players, who often player as teams like Brazil. Usually, people from forums will give you a good game, though it's rare to find someone who will never ever try a cutback. Good luck.

I have nothing against cutbacks when they're not intentionally manufactured, i.e. when they occur naturally and do not result of you running in circles near the area. Sometimes (not as often as you'd think) the situation for a cutback occurs just like it would in reality, without you forcing it, and it would be dumb not to take it. Now, trying to exploit the fact that you can manufacture these chances almost at will thanks to the faulty engine... well, that's low. I don't do it and condemn those who do.
