Problem with the Superpatch

I hope I am in the right spot.

Whilst in the midst of playing a patched PES5(Superpatch 3), my analog gamepad went kaput. An error message appeared almost instantly and the game hanged just when my team was almost certain to secure a berth in Europe. I proceeded to replace the gamepad but noted an error keep appearing on the button configuration setting. Despite uninstalling and reinstalling the Superpatch 3, I could not get round this problem. I even tried installing just the Superpatch 1 and to my amazement, the button configuration setting kept showing the same error message.

To add salt to the wound ,my hard disk also went kaput last night. I had the hard disk replaced this morning . I reinstalled my PES5 , patched it with Superpatch 3, with new found confidence clicked the button configuration setting and ............................................... the screen just went blank and exited back to Windows. This is really mind boggling!!

Do anyone know which folder contains the button configuration settings?

When I tried Superpatch 1 (i think it was, or maybe 2) I couldn't get in to button config either. It seems that is a bug with Superpatch. The Settings.exe won't work in the PES5 install folder, nor the Options -> Button config I believe. Though I think the button config while playing a match will work (from the pause menu).

So if the Button Config works without Superpatch installed, everything is normal i guess.
