Question About Getting Classic Players

i know that you need to finish first at a certain league to get the classic players of that country.. but can i get them by completing only half a league? and can you get the classic players by completing the leagues on master league? thanks

I don’t believe that you can get them buy completing half a league. And yes you do get players from accomplishing certain things on the Master League like by winning it as well as the cups. You also get players from finishing the regional cups like Copa America or UEFA cup of nations.

It's basically meant to be a way of getting you to try all the game modes. Really, it's a way to get you to repeatedly do cups and leagues with teams you don't care about. Bloody annoying - I have done four world cups now, and very angry with Konami over it all - I much preferred the PES shop.

Any coincidence that, when they decide to get rid of the PES Shop, in PES08, all the 'classic' players just become fairly good players from the 90s?

what i mean is when you go up in the master league to the italian league for example, and i win it, does it count like winning the regular italian league?

Correct - trust me it's the most boring thing in the world - just started my 5th consecutive World Cup, this time with Netherlands. Dreading starting the domestic leagues.

good luck! by the time i will unlock all the classic players and teams, pes 2010 will come out.. should i try unlocking all the achivments in track records?

If you have unlocked classic players on past PESs, what you could do is copythe stats from there, and just create the faces yourself - it's what I did with a load of players, and I will again when I find my PES5 memory card.

I have the stats if you want them. The faces of the unlocked players are not good enough anyway. The only reason I see for unlocking players is because you either want to or think that there might be invisible abilities that a player might have that can’t be edited.

No worries - I didn't expect you to have them, just checking, because I am pretty damn sure the memory card with all the unlocked PES5 players on is at Uni, so I'd have to wait til February to get the stats.
