R2 "controlled shot"... a myth?

Holding R2 helps stabalise your player before he shoots, this means the shot will be more accurate.

It's good for use when inside the box and close up to the keeper, i score lots of goals this way, because it forces the strong foot, making the shot more accurate. Sometimes you're on weak foot and that's why it becomes weaker sometimes.

The catch is, you lose your speed advantage if you keep holding the R2. let go of R2 before your player kicks the ball, after holding it from the beginning.

That is also sound advice. I in the other hand prefer to unleash with all my power and hope for the best.

It definitely makes a difference, I struggled all match to make a single chance in my first game and then decided to have a go with R2 and scored a screamer. Great one to start my WE9 goal account.

Yeh I was thinking if you use R2 to balance the player before a shot then if you release it before he shoots he will be more balanced and he can just unleash the fury !
