Real World Cup Format?

In PES5 the world cup format is wrong. After the group stages, teams play other teams from the wrong groups. I was wondering if there was a patch to fix this?

i noticed that when i was playing that yesterday i had the groups which are this years world cup i finished 1st and i should of played the who came second in germanys group which is group a but i went on to play some team from group d

I've never seen or heard of this kind of thing being changed by patching.

It has been revealed that the world cup works much better if you don't change the groups to be shown by letters - leave it as numbers and it works much better:

So numbers gives you the world cup correct but only as it was in WC2002. This does not work for WC2006 as some teams jump over to the opposite side of the tree after the second round. But ah well.

Those pics are from WE10.

revert - those groups will make the world cup work if it was WC2002 only. It just isn't possible to do WC2006 in PES/WE.

So are you saying, if I was to use the WE10 layout of the WC Groups, then it may not work on PES5?

I think they're the same. Using letters defintely doesn't work on PES5. Leaving it as numbers should make it the same as WE10 but this is the WC system as used in WC2002 and doesn't apply to WC2006 as the teams don't cross over to the other side of the 'tree'.
