I beg your pardon?
Me and our lass have just invested in the DS, we've got loads of games, but want to know beyond the obvious what to look out for. Something RTS or RPG, good driving games, anything special really I may have missed.

Games I reccomend and what our lass is playing:
Any Mario title
" Yoshi "
Spore Creatures
Farm Life
Animal Crossing
Trauma Centre
Sim City Creator
Worms Open Warfare 2
Tetris (of course)
Point Blank
Cooking Mama
Micro Machines V4
Harvest Moon
Theme Park
Wall-E
Korg DS10 Synthesizer (google this!)
Touchmaster (and More Touchmaster)

Please add any games you think are must have (or must check out)

For those that like Final Fantasy I would recommend the 3D remakes of Final Fantasy III and Final Fantasy IV as well as a remake of Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen.

The Pokemon games always do the trick for me - obviously not very cool but I thoroughly enjoy playing them in the summer.

I've always wrote off the Pokemons as kids. It's worth a look is it?
Spore Creatures is the one for me at the mo.

Professor Layton is an awesome game. Try Hotel Dusk for a good adventure story/adventure, The Castlevania Series of games are also pretty damn coo'

Played Mario Kart to death. Awesome.
Got Proffesor Layton for my sister, had a quick blast but was taking ages so sacked it. Will have a dabble of the Castlevania Series.
Also liking SimCity Creator. ANd the Touchmasters games, and Sega Casino.

Cheers, the Phoenix games are on the to get list.
MechanicMaster is pretty cool, from the makers of Touchmaster.

i would agree with jonno, try hotel dusk as i think it was a really good change to how games are set out. some of the puzzles had me baffled as you have to look for the not so obvious.
