Red line through Player Cards ?

Hey guys, why is it that I cannot select some of the Player Cards for certain players, I keep getting the message "This card will have no effect under the current settings" ???

What do I have to do to use these player cards ? Im confused

It's usually to do with the formation or position of the player.

An example would be Robin Van Persie at Arsenal... I think he has the 'incisive run' card, which is for use on the wing by a WF, but in the default formation he is a CF in the middle so it's disabled.

if the player is defence minded it wont work, you haft to change it to attack minded and it should work thats how it worked for me.
