Gameplay: 9.5 out of 10 (Just about perfect, going to be interesting to see how it improves next year!)
Graphics: 9 out of 10 (Amazing players and Animations, but the crowd need a drastic revamp)
Sound: 7 out of 10 (Great atmosphere, shame about the commentary)
Lifespan: 8 out of 10 (If master league isn't your thing, and you prefer multiplayer, there aren't too many options available to you)
Overall: 9 out of 10 (If only the simple things had been done)

Anyways, I was just reading this review out of interest after reading many other reviews of the game and I decided to compare the movies with PES2. And here is my 'review'
First off Gameplay, 9/10, a fair rating but after looking at the movies it seems as if PES3 will get 10/10 and I cant see much differant. If you look at the way players move it REALLY DOES look realistic. The way the players move in the present game looks good but I would dare to say, not as good as expected.
Second, Graphics. The graphics in PES2 are quite good but I would be more likely to say 8/10 not 9/10. The level of detail isnt that good, such as the kits, you dont get the best look at them unless you by a special scart cable which improves the detail. Plus at the selectin screen, the detail on the flags isnt that great. Looking at the movies of the game (which isnt supposed to be near complation) I would expect it to be drastically improved.
Thirdly, Sound. 7/10. I dont think that anyone would rate this any higher, and I would even go as far to say 6/10 due to the extremely poor commentary (is it really that hard?). Since we cant hear the commentary in the movies it is hard to know, but the crowd seems just a bit better than PES2. So, for me, I am undecided on sound.
Lifespan, 8/10. I would rate this 9/10 since the game is all I seem to be playing, and also to have this site along with pesfan devoted to the game I doubt they would make a site about a game that wouldn't last and therefor become inactive after a 2 years. The ML is great to play, with the satisfaction of winning the ML on extreme, its a site to behold, and the highest honour a PES2 fan can achieve. And, with the multiplayer (I have played with 8 people, which was really great), dont you love it when you play your mate who cant stop telling you how much better than you, and thrashing him, or going of an unbeaten run. And in all fairness, not many football games at all have much more things than what PES has. No other game has as good training, which includes the UMBRO P.T.C, which I keep going back to on the Challenge King, trying to get 5100 points. So, I think that 8/10 is slightly less than it deserves. Also I cant comment on the movies since they dont include any menus which I can comment on.
Overall 9/10. This is a very good rating and is exactly what it deserves. Most things are great except the sound and graphics which both SLIGHTLY under-perform. What I have seen in the two movies, all IU can see is a 10/10 rating for the next installment of the PES series, Pro Evolution Soccer 3.
I'd love to write the review for the next game for this site, if you would allow me Hitman, or if you could perhaps put in a good word for me Zygalski. Cant wait for the game, thanks all, I hope you enjoy this thread.
Jono.
