Should PES2012 Have A "Back Out" Option?

PES online has always been a rather predictable game mode. Obviously, this isn't news to you, but ever since Konami gave us online play, a number of players always insist to be the same team, every game, no matter who they're playing (player-wise and team-wise).

In PES 6, we had Inter Milan. A year later, we had Manchester United. Last year, we had Barcelona and now we see a mix between the two Spanish giants, now that it appears that Real Madrid seem to be the #1 team in PES 2011.

Often I find myself ripping my hair out, because I get fed up of playing Real Madrid every game. Despite winning the majority of my games, playing the same team every game is far from a motivator for me to continue playing online.

I know some of you will suggest that I stop playing, if I don't enjoy it. But I can't accept that.

Konami have given us a game with decent online capabilities, and I want to be part of it. I don't want to be turned away, just because players constantly "whore" Cristiano Ronaldo against me.

But then I think, I can't just sit here and moan, feeling sorry for myself.

I also accept that I could participate in an online community - which I do (The 360 OPE Championship, so join now if you haven't already done so!).

However, I accept that not everyone will join, and not everyone will take time to join a community. It's much easier to just play quick ranked matches.

So I was thinking of a solution to this problem.

I'm going to sit on the fence here, but part of me feels PES players would benefit if Konami installed a feature that allowed users to back out of the game room, at the team selection stage - I'm sure you've seen this on the FIFA titles.

I don't feel entirely confident on this idea, because I feel people would keep backing out, because in every matchroom, their opponent picks Real Madrid every time.

On the other hand, I feel that players should keep the privilege of picking any team they wish in ranked matches. The freedom should remain.

Ranked matches are full of serious players and of course, they want to be the best - so why would they want to play as Tottenham Hotspur - for example obviously!!

no, give an option for us to select a number of teams that we do not want to use or see the opponent use, easy

That's a pretty dumb idea to be honest. You mean you want a bitch out option before the match is even played. Why discriminate against certain teams simply because of the quality of the players within the side?

This just reeks of ''I can't win against those who play with good players so cut out everyone else having that choice to choose a good team so I can win every game''

Online isn't the mode for you if you can't handle playing against top teams. If you're a serious player you'll find ways to contain players like ronaldo.

But on the other hand, it gets pretty boring playing against Real or Barca all the time. I think OP just wants to introduce an incentive for more players to play lesser teams, but I am against the idea of actively discriminating against those who picked the top teams for whatever reason.

Perhaps a good way to do things is to give players reason to pick lesser teams. Things like more exp gain could work here.

with the defender catch up system it is easier than previous years to beat the 'BIG' teams, altho the way the these players just hoof the ball up the feild and then run after it will always casue you a problem.
