Stand out Classic players

Ok, filtering through the classic players looking for potential signings for my ultimate team without picking too many obvious players but still looking to be ridiculously good.

Bergkamp, absolute class behind the striker.
Kempes, I always pick him anyway, good all rounder up front.
Savicevic, nifty on the wings.
Enzo Scifo, just quality.
Brehme, one of the best full backs on the game, awesome free kicker.
Cafu, great full back.
Toninho Cerezo, classy central midfielder.

These players stood out in the few games I've had so far, and I plan to keep them, any recommendations or suggestions?
Players on my list to try out.
Zola, Donadoni, Mancini, Careca, Rai, Neeskens, Littbarski, Boniek, Stoichkov, Boban.

Where is Schuster by the way? Has he gone completely or just relegated from Classic Germany?

I have yet to play a single Classic game on this PES 2012, since you can pretty much transfer anyone to WE United or PES United and make your stronges team. Maradona and Pele follow by Batistuta if you want to win. Nuff said.

Nah like I said before, Maradona and Pele are too obvious, and I've already ruled out Batistuta, gone for Shearer instead of him.
And it's not so much that I want to win by picking the best possible team, I'm trying to to pick a very good team of players people don't usually pick but are still good, based around memories from watching football as a young boy and players I have admired. We all know the well known classic players, and I will still pick the odd one but just trying to be different so me and my mates don't all end up with the same team!
And what you said about picking your strongest team by transferring players, you've always been able to do that. I use that to pick a strong team for exhibitions, but I play the ML properly with a standard team and sign people.

Bierhoff with his 99 heading, perfect to meet the end of any cross combined with his +90 response.

Zbigniew Boniek, some player that can dribble at high speeds and virtually do anything

Squad so far.
Got a bit carried away, but it will probably never have the same starting 11 twice, and endless formation variations. Still a work in progress, maybe a few replacements and still a free slot or two I think. Haven't finished editing the names yet. God it takes forever.

Still looking for the best full backs. Need one or two more wingers.

Best forwards have always been Brian Laudrup, Di Stefano, and Eusebio(screw Maradona, Eusebio is always my 1st classic signing). I dont know if Oscar Ruggari is still in it, but him, Krol and Amoros (Argu, Classic France) are the best side backs on it. Best midfielder is Zico - him and Platini are free kick monsters.

Haven't played with classics on this one though.

I'm a big fan of the Classic Players and I tend to play with players from the 90's who still have Pre-Set Faces. My favourite team line-up...

Too many decent subs to name.
I do reduce the ageing players age to their prime and tweak their abilities.

With the help of the Face Builds editing section of this Forum, the team really comes to life.
The Van Der Sar face build is incredible, it looks like a Pre-set.

Davids ia great all round in midfield, so fast and powerful, Maldini is excellent in defence too and can cover two positions, up front I find Van Basten a little slow, Kluivert is great in the air so i ususally stick him into the team. Gascoigne has a cracking shot aswell if you wanted an all rounder in the midefield.
