Team Change

I am confused. I go to edit team in options and change formation and whos playing and save the option file. Then a couple of weeks later the team has completely changed. e.g I put Morientes with Baros up front for Liverpool and last night I found that Morientes was in defence and Nunez was up front. Anyone know whats happened? Im sure my memory cards not damaged.

If you transfer a player before editing, the players changes their positions.
