Well. PES3 arrived yesterday morning from PLAY.COM. So i threw it on my PS2 not really expecting anything other than WE7 with a few more licenses.
Well how wrong was i. For a start the game is faster than WE7, and smoother. Also dribbling is a lot, lot easier, although defences can be still tough. The advantage rule and handball is in there, plus i've also noticed a new animation on the players, sometimes when you get tackled the player does this new animation of him nearly tripping over and believe me its a new animation, i've had WE7 for months and months and never seen it once. But most of all these three things have been changed majory and improve the game 100% over WE7:
Shooting
It now feels like you really put some power behind the ball, as in compared to WE7 the shots seemed a little floaty with no major weight behind them, for instance i scored a beauty last night with shevchenko on the half volley, wwith no float just power.
Heading
The heading has been improved in this version, theres more power in them, in WE7 it tended to just lightly bounce of the head alot and bullet headers where an irregular accurance. But it doesnt mean headers are easier, you still have to hit the right kind of cross.
BUT MOST OF ALL
Goalkeepers!!!!!!
Now this was the most disappointing factor for me in WE&. The keepers were weak. To easy to go to ground on one on ones, i had to boost all their attributes to get them to be harder to beat and less fallible. They also (so far) havent done the annoying punch save whereas you hit a 25 yard shot and instead of tipping it over or catching it, they puch it up in the air, it looks really crap, but last night i hit a sizzler with Di Vaio and the keeper tipped it over!! I was well chuffed! Also they are a lot more agile without fixing their abilities and much more like in WE6FE.
The only downers i can see is the pes shop is fairly useless, teres only one ball, the kit selections are ot as good as WE7 as they have omitted the puma and addidas strips you could choose from and you cant use your WE7 option file, so i have to re-edit everything!!!!!! And re-buy the transfer option!!!1
Theres a few major transfers, Kewell,Ronaldhino, Beckham but thats it.
Anyway much better than WE7 and i've seen no stutter!.
