What do you do for more of a challenge?

For us experienced PES players out there, who feel Top Player just isn't "Top" enough, what have you done to make the game more of a challenge, edit wise?

I found that the keepers weren't good enough for me, so I decided (like in the last 4 PES games I've had) to bump all their main GK abilities up to 99.

It might seem silly and/or unrealistic, but I find it fun to play with - They don't become super-human by any means, you're just tested a lot more, and it isn't as easy to score from just outside the box by cutting in and aiming in the corner.

You actually feel happier when you score, as you know that 8 times out of 10, it was a great shot and the keeper had no real chance of saving it.

Anyone else do this/something similar for more of a challenge?

I usually just blind-fold myself and lie on a bed of nails whilst playing - does the trick for me. Seriously though, I'm not keen of the idea of making all keepers equally as awesome but each to their own I guess. Playing with ML default players and not being able to buy from the start is usually enough for me.

I've noticed the CPU teams still have normal results even with the equal keeper abilities.

Derby are still shit ...even with great GK's.

But yeah, I was just fed up of seeing the keepers make stupid errors and fail to save it when even a two year old could.

I think it's something that still needs to be worked on ...not as much as Fifa's keepers, but they still need work.

To make things more challenging, i've started playing PES6 again instead...

sometimes i like to register a goalkeeper with the worst stats possible, a 1 in everything, and he's tiny too. he can't catch or handle the ball for shit but it's quite entertaining and challenging all the same
