When is the best time to switch difficulty levels on BAL?

At what stage in the career is it best to switch difficulty levels? I am in between Regular and Professional. Earlier, I was probably on the correct level, since my scores on Regular tended to reproduce the strength of the sides involved accurately. But I started and stopped a could of BALs with players with really bad ratings, and it has honed my skills a bit. When playing with Independiente, which is about as strong as PSG or Rennes in this OF, I was able to cruise through to the finals in Champions League mode easily and then lose to Man U. In my current BAL (on regular) I have a player with crappy stats and got signed by a mid table Argentine team (probably the equivalent of a mid table French team.

It was only weeks before I began starting, and I've maintained a steady position in the starting eleven for most of the season. I bet my average rating would be 6.2 or 6.3. And at the end of the first season, I got really lucky and in the 7th week of negotiations I got signed by Independiente, who finished second in the league that year. I wonder if this is unrealistic and is too high a performance for a player with those ratings. Whatever the case, I know I'll have to move it up to Professional at some point, so when is the best time to do it? Should I do it now, since I just switched teams? Or should I wait until my player has better stats (abilities)?
