which is the best program for burning bin and cue files? nero and cdrwin tend to not let my games boot up, any alternatves?

I use Nero 6 and burn at 2x and have had no problems.

Alcohol 120% is a good alternative which lets you choose the mode of disk you want to burn, such as PS1 or PS2. www.alcohol-software.com/

bin and cue are Fireburner files. It´s the best tool for this kind of files. But it´s up to you, like Zyg said you could use Nero or CDRWin as well. I prefer Fireburner, CDRWin is a little bit complicated and Nero-burned CDs often don´t work for me.

yes, i burn only with nero (version 6) and have no problem with it. Try use diferent media type - some modded PS2 have problems with spec. med. colours.
About burning speed - if u have one of newest burners, doesn't matter haw speed u choose, but with older burnes is recomended slowest posible speed.

I would always burn at 4 or 8x, it´s the best for your console. Have some games burnt with max speed and they work as well but I prefer the slow method
