Who will win this aerial battle???

Ok,this qn has been in my mind for a while now, and i finally rid myself of laziness to ask it.

take 2 players.Drogba for eg,who is 188cm tall and has 95 jumpin power.(heck the headin ability 1st)
and Zigic(i think he's known as Miruic in the game),who's 202cm tall and has 70 jumping power.

i think u guys hav guessed wad im abt to ask.yes, who'll win an aerial battle,ie,who'll jump higher?(provided the cross is delivered very accurately above their heads,hence there is no need to run to get to the ball.)

will height play a bigger role or is their jumping power a bigger factor?
and too name a few good headers of the ball.(preferably strikers)

Alan Shearer, Les Ferdinand and Mickey Evans are the three best headerers of a ball I've seen they werent all tall but knew how and when to jump and also made runs and found spaces.

Drogba would win the header I think, mainly because his jump/headering is better...he'd be able to time the jump and get in front of Zigic enabling him to win the header....although this might not be the case because its quite a big height difference...maybe if it was like 5-10cm apart.

I would say the jumper (Drogba) as. A better example would be;

Koller - Really tall, poor at jumping.
S.W.P. - Reall short, great at jumping

I would say SWP as jumping can gain an advantage, by getting to the ball first.

Note, i know SWP wouldnt in real life. This was to try and force the point home.

Aerial battles are not just about heading and jumping abilities. There are many factors such as Attack, Defense, Balance, Positioning, Consistency.

If Zigic is defending and Drogba is attacking, then Drogba should win more cuz it would be his attack vs Zigic's defense.

But lets take your example and say they're both in perfect position to receive a perfect cross. Then it could be back n forth between those 2, a good contest. But take Drogba vs someone like Crouch. Crouch is taller but much weaker so Drogba will dominate him. So take all those abilities into account when searching for a tall striker.
