If you go to Aston Villa and Hassan Kachlouls appearence, you'll see he has boots number 0 which are the number 1 boots from WE7.
Strange as he seems to be the only one with this.

It may just be my game, plz tell if you get this mistake in your version too.

Ok, I have it :). Checked just the AFS file and remembered something we dealt with a couple of weeks ago on evo-web ;): there are 7 boots in PES (from 0 to 6), the no. 0 boots in PES are the no.1 from WE-> check link1 (don´t get confused with this pic, the Kmochida editor shows you boots from 1-7 not 0-6, but it´s the same ;), in the game it´s 0-6 ), but because of a bug (probably) you cannot choose boot number 0 in the in-game editor. You can assign them, however, with Kmochidas editor.
They are full editable, like every other boot (check link 2). So if you wanna use them in the PC version I don´t see any problems, if you would like to use them in the PS2 version you would need to edit the AFS file with Kmochidas editor and play it on your chipped console.

however in one of the patches some players have boots 8 and 9 too and the same applies, wlthough they have invisible feet with some boot packs.

Sounds weird to me coz you have only 7 slots for boots in the AFS file.

there are 9 in the bin though? I want to know how to change to use the other 2 boots as they DO show in game in PES3 PC, though not in the editor

I was only speaking about Kmochidas´s editor, as you know there are only 7 available. That´s also what some people on evo-web said. If there are really 9 you have to check it maybe with this Italian editor, think it´s the Pegasus one. It´s very similar to Kmochidas editor. I don´t see any other way of assigning boots 8 and 9. Maybe hex-editing

there are 9 boots in we7. I have 9 on my wedimensions. But the problem with this is that it changes the slots and replaces the original preds with different boots and slot 3 is editable predators, which is cool, but also means that now all predator players play in pumas, which i cant b bothered to change!

We know that there are 9 slots in WE7 but we´re talking about PES :p
In PES you have 6 boots in the game editor, 7 in Kmochida´s editor and if we believe Jim (I do ;) ): 9 in the bin

Yes but my game has not been patched, but still has kachloul with the no. 0 boots.
And NOBODY else has this in the game.
Either everyone should have it or no one should have it.

Really strange Jim, the green colour has sth to do with the palette, right ? The same problems like with the red colours on the boots in older jonboyo patches (I don´t know whether he sorted this out or not)

yup
the boots are made using the greyscale pallette
Top colour is 0,0,0 bottom right 255,255,255

the game then splits those into 5 bands for base, line1, line2, tongue and studs (Look at the 4th slot in the dropdown menu in the pic decoder [1x1x8] no pixel data - press F1 and you'll see 5 bands going dark to light) This is how the colours map, eg if you colour part of the boots 1,1,1
the game will colour it whatever colour the 2nd colour is in the pallete you choose - if you want it black it will go to 7,7,7 - yellow 16,15,4 etc
However the uneditable ones use the palette from slot 3 which replaces each single colour so you need to match this palette to how you want your boots to look eg the lottos use grey 124,124,124 (8 down 3 in from the right) which is the position of the green 56,155,36 and so appear green in game.
The older boots had a reddish first pallete
hope this helps
Jim
