Wolf's patch and slowdown - a reasonable solution

Okay, as we all noticed, there have been quite a number of threads concerning game slowdown problems on this forum as well as on others. Also, some people seem to have trouble installing the Wolf's brilliant Full Moon Evolution pack. After trying various setups I think I've found a solution that gets the game running at decent speed even on my crappy rig (1.3 GHz Pentium, 256 RAM, GeForceFX 5200 card) plus the new uniforms and badges are a treat. So if you've tried the different tricks already posted on this forum and the players still run as if they were under water, read on.
First reinstall the game so you have a totally fresh copy to work on (don't forget to backup your options file OR use the Wolf's option file which has all the correct rosters and formations -cheers mate). Next, import the uniforms and flags into the game as explained in the instructions that come with the pack (DO NOT import the shoes - I am not sure about this, but they seem to mess things up - anyway, without the imported shoes the game works fine). Next, download Deviance's crack for the original exe file, not for the official patch. This might be a bit tricky, but you should be able to get it if you look around. Replace your pes.exe file with the cracked no-cd file. Apply the collarfix patch found in the Wolf's pack via ppf-o-matic (as explained in the very clear instructions that come with the pack). Finally, get the unofficial acceleration patch (there is a link to it somewhere in this forum) and apply it to your exe file. That's it. The game should run faster and all the kits look like a charm. Oh yeah, you may try to disable your sound card and increase your monitor's refresh rate. This has helped some people, but the results were not significant on my machine so I don't really know what these tweaks are worth. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions.

Note: none of this involves installing the official Konami patch which seems to create more problems than it solves. Nothing personal Konami, but this patch blows. Get rid of it.
