Xbox Patching PES4

Here is a guide to how and demonstrate how to patch your Xbox version of Pro Evolution Soccer 4 for you newbies out there.

To choose which Xbox patch you like take a look at this post. If you want to read about each patch, then search within the forum, there are loads of reviews about each one.

I am not going to explain how to get the .iso of your Xbox game onto the Computer. If you need to find out how to do it, I will explain some possible options is another post later on.

Software you will need:
Xiso: Download it here

That’s all you need!

To start off, you need to extract your original PES4 .iso.

xIso is in Spanish for some reason, but it’s still really easy to follow. Click ‘Archivo’ > ‘Abrir’, then open your PES4 .iso.

You should get something like this. (NOTE: I DON’T ACTUALLY HAVE A PES4 ISO ON MY COMPUTER SO THE PICTURE IS JUST A EXAMPLE)

Click ‘Extraer todo’ and select a destination folder to place all of your extracted files into. It will take a little while, when it has done, it should say something like ‘Cerrear’.

Now you have extracted your .iso.

My DarioX patch, looks like this (as do most Xbox patches):

Now all you have to do is replace all of the files inside the DarioX patch, over the top of the same files inside the folder you have just extracted. Simply select all of the files inside the DarioX patch, right-click copy, got over to the original extracted files, and inside the folder, right-click paste. It will ask you something about ‘Confirm File Replace’, just say ‘Yes to All’.

Now you have to remake the .iso from the newly made files.

Open xISO again, this time click on ‘Crear imagen xISO’

Browse for the folder that you have replaced the files over with, most probably the folder you originally extracted it to, then it will ask you whereabouts you would like to save your ‘new’ .iso.

Once again, will take a little while, I would recommend just to leave the computer, and now press any buttons, just leave it to do, what it has to do.

Once the .iso has completed, you are ready to burn on a blank DVD. I use Nero Smart Start, but any program that burns images to blank DVD’s should be fine to use.

Enjoy your newly patched Pro Evolution Soccer 4.

Any questions about Xbox Patching, please ask it inside this thread. Hence, I said ‘Xbox Patching’

Good guide marrison89. It was about time someone started to help out the X-Box users among us. Well done!

what about this, i have my WE8I in the hdd of my xbox, simply ftp the complete folder to my pc, replace files and cpy back to my pc? i've finally found a patch for WE8I that is going to be released next week. http://www.soccergaming.tv/showthread.php?t=125072&page=1&pp=15

What I do is just replace the patch files over the top of the original files on my Xbox HDD. If you have either PES4 or WE on your Xbox HDD, there's no need to make a DVD of it.

marrison, what progs/files do I need to edit the param.dat.bin on the X-Box? I always use the WE8_set_default_color program to edit my PS2 version but it didn't work when setting collars/kit model etc on the X-Box. Any ideas?

What are you trying to do? Get the emblems off the kit, or correct all of the collars of the International shirts?

I inserted the new England kit etc as they were old in the DarioX patch but in-game the collars were still on it so it looked messed up. So I am interested in sorting out the collars.

To be honest, I don't know about editing the collars. I did give it a go once, but I wasn't very successful. I know there is a section on Ajay's that explains the collars, using the same software as you mentioned.
