Gran Turismo 5: Prologue

Just pre-ordered Gran Turismo 5: Prologue for PS3 with my saved up reward points.

Looked at the pics and videos etc and it does look really good for £19.99

Anyone know if it's gonna be any good?

Gran Turismo will always be a Playstation exclusive I'm afraid.


As for the game itself, I imagine it'll be just like number 4 with better graphics.

Prologue will be terrible compared to the actual Gran Turismo 5.

Ferrari F40, F430 and Ferrari F1 F2007 are in the game, it can't be anything but amazing

There's only 16 levels on the prolouge though isn't there, until the actual real one comes out?

Well its a demo, it has Many many cars but only a few tracks. The online feature seems class with 16 drivers at once. I will invest in this along with the PS3 fund i have.

70 (ish) cars & six tracks.

Full version will be much larger & allegedly come with damage modelling, although i'm not holding my breath.

Calzone - Forza2 is about the best driving 'simulation' equivalent on the Xbox. Still, there seems to be a dearth on all consoles. Too many FPS's at the mo.

Bought the game today and ive only played 3 races. It seems a good buy considering I only paid £5 (I had HMV vouchers).

The graphics are good too except the cars have terrible jagged edges when viewing them in the showroom however they look fine in races. Cant wait to get that F1 Ferrari, it looks beasty.

I do hope it's better that GT4. Which seems the case as the only thing they could add to make it substantially better is an online function. I rather they just bring out the full version earlier instead of this cheap attempt at grabbing some money.

I know what you mean Barry, but they are basically testing the water. If there is a market for it they are going to exploit it. It also would go to making the final game better as well.

I know, you can't fault them for finding a gullible crowd to boost their income.

This update is stupid, it fails half way through downloading every time so I cant play online.

Yeah got it working eventually. All that fucking about and I can even play online as I need a better and more expensive car!
