The banter was top notch but then again I had this on the 360 were we all had headsets. Hardly anybody had headsets on the ps3

Banter made this game more fun online then GTA4?

Oh and I have a headset but choose only to use it with mates as I can't be arsed with morons talking rubbish all the time.

Whilst not quite as good as GTA technically, this is probably the funnest game I've played in yonks. Its very enjoyable. A great alternative and I'd highly recommend it, haven't laughed this much in a long while.

This seems good. My friend's going to town tomorrow. I'll ask him if he can buy me that. Hopefully it's in stores.

Played this game some more. Honestly its fucking brilliant. IMO, at least as good as GTA 4. Alright, it doesn't have the graphics and the engine, but the humour and features more than make up for it. Killing bums and destroying their shanty towns in underground caverns? Gang members, who, if you're car is full, hijack the nearest vehicle and follow you? You can't buy that shit.

I've not really had chance to play this yet. I've played about an hour. It seems a good laugh though. I'm going to have a crack on it later.

I think the driving physics are dog shite mind and having to use "A" to accelerate and "X" to reverse is pretty awful.

I don't like my character's accent either, so I might restart. I'm not sure if it's meant to be an English or Australian accent, but it's shite whatever it is.

I've got this huge fat old cunt with a cockney accent, balding with a large grey beard, and he looks like a right sick cunt.

Got to agree with BD. Technically it's a slightly crisper, the character creation is better and the general flow of the game faster. It's like all the stupid bits that were removed from GTA have been comprehensively stuffed into one title.

The hostage kills & new combat (which overall is much better than GTA's barring the cover system, but who wants to hide while packing twin .44's!) are great, although as Dan said the driving is shite. The cruise control does make it a bit easier as you can adjust the camera to a higher angle for larger vehicles so you can at least see where you're going..! Tip. Be very careful with two planes. landing is a bitch.

So far, so good. A good alternative sandbox to GTA's more serious affair. After the balls out, bullet flying opener, I just hope it can maintain the pace without too much repetition setting in.

One great thing about this game is the soundtrack. It pisses all over GTA 4's. There's even a station dedicated to 80's tunes.

The 80s station is class, and there's a couple of other good tunes littered around. Definitely better than GTA4, but not a patch on Vice City and San Andreas.

Jumped to my death off the mountain today - not as big as Chiliad but a mountain is always welcome. Plus this game even has a Parthenon for fuck's sake. And now I can recruit two homies, so good times for all.

The Fuzz missions are probably the funniest thing I've played in ages - Hooker Revolt, Pirates vs. Ninjas, all round great stuff. Plus coming across the Pyramid by accident was good shit.

There's some bloody random mission start points. Drove from the Airport all the way up to the burbs for a mission, only for the story to start from HQ back in Red Light... odd.

Think i've finally got the hang of the bikes now though...

Best feature so far... satchel bombs. Threw one at a cop & watched the fucker run half way down the marina before setting it off. Much carnage ensued.

Last night I was driving on that bridge with the train track running through it, trying to force the train off the tracks. In the end I couldn't and my truck set on fire. It blew up just as the last carriage passed, forcing the rear and middle carriages to veer off onto each side of the road, causing mass pile ups and explosions. Probably the best thing I've seen yet.

Hmmm. That gives me an idea.

Sticking satchel bombs on the line & setting them off as it passes. Might give that a try later.

Have you done any of the Samedi missions yet?

BarnDoor

Witchfinder General
Yes you can derail them, the carriages all break off and, if its over a town, they fall onto the street, causing much carnage. Its little things like this that make it far more fun than GTA.

Satchels are a great idea. I was also thinking about parking a big gas tanker on the tracks, that ought to stop it.
