Update details

The following features were added by this update file:
1) 2 new features "Replay Upload" and "Theatre of Legends" for Legends Mode.
2) A new Download feature in the System Settings, used for updating various game data.

* Unless you update the game by selecting "Download" from Systems Settings, you won't be able to play against customers who have already applied the update.



This download will updates four Spanish sides

* C. ATLETICO MADRID,
* SEVILLA F.C.,
* R. RACING C.
* and VALLADOLID,

all of whom will be officially licensed. Furthermore, it will also update the kits and team rosters of many teams within the game. The UEFA Champions League mode will also benefit from the new update, with twelve more teams added to the club list, with proper UEFA Champions League kits and kit markings added.

The following team kits will be updated by the PES patch (once download content data has been validated). Please be aware that any kit data edited by the user before the download will be lost.(only for the teams listed below so don't worry about the others on your option file)

Team rosters will be updated to match those registered by teams at the close of the summer transfer window (August 31st 2008). Please be aware that once the downloaded data has been automatically validated, any user generated team roster data or team formation settings will be lost. User generated player and team data (excluding formation settings) will remain intact.

All save files will remain intact.

Save data which is created whilst the download is being validated will be invalid once the downloaded content has been removed.

Only users who have downloaded content data which has been validated will be able to play online.

well all the difference i can see from the download from when i loaded the game is the change in campiton league scoreboard font, i think i have dowloaded in correctly pls can some1 give me guidence

Download using http...their recommended is really crap ...i downloaded the big update in 2 minutes and its great...does the liverpool home kit look graphically better to any of you??? it does to me and the gameplay is SOOOO MUCHH BETTERR!!!! loving pes 2009 now

anyone know if this update will be available immediately on the US version? It would really suck if we had to wait another month for a important update too...on another topic, if americans are ignorant in terms of football and more likely to play fifa bcuz its polished and showy and ea makes other popular sports games here, why dont konami release it at the same time as in europe? just makes more assholes on my side of the pond buy fifa

Really impressed with the patch after a bit of faffing about. I noticed the Champions League 'clock' font was different too and the game generally seems a lot better. I like the fact that whenever you replace your 'edit' data you can 're-apply' patch 1.2 at any time. PES 2008 sucked for me on PC and I went back to the PS2 but this year's is so much better. Konami is onto a winner with these updates and to my mind they've more than made up for last year's travesty. I tried FIFA 09 on PC recently and it was utter crap, not even as good as the Wii version which is good fun and very playable but now I'm well and truly back in the PES camp! :)

sounds good....and im sure since the UPDATE is now in konamis data base and available the USA players will also get the update on day one

can someone please tell me what to do with this. I have downloaded the update when i booted up the game 1st time. I then went to play it to see what as all in the update but i keep on getting a error message and now my game is freezing before you can even get into the menu the bit with the stars just keeps loading n loading sorry to be a pain but help would be appreciated!!
