Resistance 2 is the upcoming sequel to the best selling launch title Resistance: Fall of Man.

In Resistance 2, the Chimera have launched a full scale invasion on both the east and west coasts of the United States, with Nathan Hale joining "The Sentinels", a special task force group put together by the Special Research Project Administration (SRPA), who are also resistant to the Chimeran virus. Hale will fight the Chimera through various locations in the United States as he fights the Chimeran virus inside himself.

The Multiplayer in R2 will feature matches/gamemodes of up to 60 players! The Only game that can compare is MAG with up to 256 players, but that game isn't even out yet.

I just found out this game has split-screen co-op and competitive multiplayer. I didn't think it could get any better but it just did.

Would've been criminal if they hadn't. The co-op in story mode in the original was most enjoyable.

Shit I mean ONLINE. Split-screen online multiplayer. Yeah I understand my original post was rather redundant without that word.

My mate has the Beta, and I think it's awesome. And the split-screen online mode is a great addition. I've spent hours doing co-operative missions online, split-screen, with one friend or another. Once the full game is released and we all own a copy it's gonna be great fun. I'm looking forward to it.

I quite like playing as a Special Ops, and sometimes a Soldier. I'm not a big fan of the Medic class, although all of my friends favor it. It's easy to score as a Medic, but I get bored in the role. And points don't always relate to how well someone has contributed. Some of the best players in the game are those who stay with the group and provide back up, and they may not necessarily score highest as a result. I topped the pile by an absolute country mile once, ranking up the kills while playing as a Soldier, but the reason for that was because I had a Specials Ops, and a Medic, backing me up all the way. And there were a few other players between my position and theirs, when really it was their input that mattered most of all.

I think Special Ops may be my main class. It's a sound role for changing between leading the line and notching up kills, as well as for playing a secondary role in keeping everyones ammo topped up.

I'll probably get this over the Christmas period. It's a toss up between this and World At War, but I'd like to have a game with offline split screen for a change.

I wasn't really that interested in this game until you mentioned that there is online split-screen, and now I am all of a sudden very interested. I'll have to look out for some videos of this mode and check out more about the game before I buy it though. Looks like one to get for my birthday or christmas or something.

The co-op campaign isn't the same as the single story experience.
I don't think it supports 4 player offline.

Still looks great.

Yes, and it's fantastic really. I was afraid on how they would follow up on part 1 which I thought was great as well, but they did it in great fashion. Something happened to me today that has never happened before. I was at my local game store after almost a month since last visiting it. There I saw Pro 2009, and just like every year I was planning to buy it without any hesitation. But for the first time, I walked out on it.. It was a toss up between the new Pro or Resistance 2. I got this one, well worth it.

This. COD5 single player lasts 5 hours.

This has a long single player, 8 player co-op and 60 player multi.
