I'm in now. Connected up after 3-4 tries. pretty stable once you're in.
Unsurprisingly there are loads of little shits milling about, trying to be clever, thats online normality then... Piss myself every time a female avatar appears, male avs are like bee's round a honey pot!!!

That's not your connection... mines good & I still had to sit around for a while. At least once an area had downloaded it then takes very little time the next time you're there.
Actually, it is. I did a connection test on Speedtest.net, and it says my maximum download is around 700 kbps.
A 40 MB file took me almost half an hour on the PS3
It's decent enough for online gaming though. I rarely experience heavy lag.

Ok, maybe it is poor!!! Still, inital home downloads are slow. I can only assume it's due to the traffic.

The number of people on seems to drop as the night wears on, certainly. When I first got in yeaterday, pool & bowling were hammered.
Had a good set of games of pool with DarkJak, although must admit when I wasn't playing 'dirty' pool he pretty much kicked my arse :no:
If a few of us get on around the same time the bowling could be a laugh. Not sure yet how you can keep it to certain members though. If you sit for bowling, anyone can park their arse & join in. Not sure how many can play at once either.

I think the maximum you can get for bowling is 4 me thinks.
Just had a scare with the PS3.
Was playing Motorstorm 2, and I deleted one of my photos I had taken in-game from the gallery, when you usually do this, you have to refresh the page by scrolling a page in the other direction then back for the photo to disappear from the gallery. However I just pressed circle and it said there was a deletion error or something. The message kept popping up and I didnt like the sound of it so I turned the PS3 off.
Rebooted to the screen 'Hard Drive Rebuild required', so I thought the worst, all my game saves and all my music, gone. I have so much music on there, and hardly any of it is backed up on my PC. I continued, and the PS3 rebuilt the hard drive which took about a minute, I expected to get to the menu asking to create a user, but thank fuck, all my stuff was still there.
Havn't tested anything yet though.
I need to backup everything really but I dont have a storage device big enough to transfer everything to the PC where it will be backed up.

By the way, is Home region locked? If so, is there a way to play a game of pool or bowling with you guys? I'm using an Australian account.
