yup, sebass said that their goal was to make pes more of a game for everyone, thus making it a little too easy for top gamers and allowing 'lower' level players to be able to play better football..this is what fifa did for years and they reaped the financial rewards...(cant do both)

this is why some people are not 100% happy with the game, its taken some skill out and made it more obvious when the cpu gives you a goal on a plate.. i see my friend fighting the cpu to defend like someone trying to catch a bag of marbles that spilled out...i have said 'sorry' and 'that was lucky' to more goals with 2009 than any other pes..

Konami definitely got somethings right with 2009 but it is far from perfect (as some people think) its a good ps3 base point, but, and its a big but, there are 2 ways they can go with it now, and i'm scared the 'benjamins' will suck them down the wrong way, where i and i'm sure alot of football lovers wouldnt want.... i dont want a pick up and play i want a game i can master...!!!

In other words, the "Replay Value" isn't as good anymore, not because we have grown tired of the same Old, but more because the Gameplay just isn't as good.

The more you play it, the more you liked it?? That used to be the case, but isn't anymore.. the game is just too Easy, straightforward, and uncompromising. This isn't what I was looking forwards to in a Football Sim.

Konami where always capable of producing quality Football Titles that showed the Potential without actually taking the game there. The games where described as "great" when they really weren't, and for some of us.. Well we thought that Next Gen Consoles would take the game There.

But I guess This Dance haves no end or progress in sight. Here's hoping for someone who haves the balls to Stand Up against Konami and EA Sports -and- finally release a Football Sim adequate for grown ups.

It doesn't haves the Depth a Football Sim should have, it isn't as addictive as the Older versions, and it doesn't offers anything New to master.

Konami basically said that "PES09 was the perfect game for Newbies to pick up". Here's hoping that Konami start improving where they should with PES 2010.

Although again, it's highly unlikely to happen, considering PES09 haves more than enough depth to challenge the market.

So considering how things stand Today, here's hoping for that someone that may release a proper Football Title for Next Gen Consoles, a Title with some "Replay Value" for the grownups.

To me, PES09 is PES09, for me it isn't better than either PES5 or PES6. In fact, it actually amazes me that some people claim it is better.

Personally, when I play PES09 I Think Less -then- when I play PES6. For me PES09 is easier, I'm not going to say it's better or worst, but for me it's Easier.

I think the Attacking AI has improved as I have noticed that the Strikers move better now, but the Defensive AI is just ridiculous, it Looks and Feels like a bunch of kids running relentlessly after the ball.

The Attacking off-the-ball movements are quite good, but the off-the-ball Play is very very poor. To put it simply, there is no off-the-ball play.

We simply decide How and When to Shoot or Pass the ball, whilst the Com Dictates everything else.

And like you said, the game just doesn't offers anything New to master, there's not One Revolutionary and Significant feature in PES09. It's just the same Old, but even more simplified.

After PES5 and PES6, I was very interested in How the PES series would "evolve" along with Next Gen Consoles. But today I'm not looking forwards to PES 2010.

well go make a thread called "i wank over a shite game and i love it" and air your views on there im airing my views on what in my opinion is not a good game and ive played pes from the begining and im pissed off with this version mainly because theres no total evolve from 2008

I have read you posts to an extent mr darkstar but it got quite boring and predicatable but it says lot that you turned from fifa to pro at pes 6. Pes was at its height from iss evo 1(ps1) up until the first next gen game when the series has gone downhill gameplay wise. That is why i stated that people who have played pes all of there lives will love fifa 09's gameplay as much if not more than than next gen pro. I have played both games for hours staight and if you prefer sims then fifa 09 is for you. I dont want to get into petty arguments as it is boring but i would like to know what pes 2009(360 or Ps3) has over fifa 09 in terms of gameplay from your points of view. if you are arsed about gameplay why dont you play the ps2 version of pro that is much better than next gen and as good as the brilliant fifa

Sorry yeah,meant to say the game has not grown.I mean i loved pes for years.Played it day and night and never got bored.I work nights with six other lads and we used to bring the ps2 and a portable to work and play all night lol.
