fifa AI just looks to defend the 18 yard box and thats it ,it allows you to pass freely for the other 70% of the pitch ,not to mention the fact that fifa doesnt mark ,doesnt know how too ,doesnt even understand the fact that attackers will run across the front of defenders while the defenders just stand there ,rendering them useless

now if you think thats real football you need to do these four things

1. stop licking windows .the chemicals they put in cleaning fluids are obviously affecting your ability to think clearly
2.stop balancing cornflakes on your chin ,its not hygenic and some shredded wheat loving guy will take offence
3. try actually watching or playing a real game of football ,and you will find that an outfeild player doesnt get much space or time on the ball ,and when they do ,defending players will not rush in ,will stand their ground ,block off passes instead of standing their like statues and more importantly other team members will either come to help or go into a defensive posistion
4.find me 3 goals on pes as unrealistic as those trigglebeef loaded up for us to laugh at and please do bear in mind these 3 goals are his best goals on his EA world

also why do you find pes so easy? i would like you to explain in as much detail as you possibly can so i can have a detailed discussion rather than you just saying fifa is better ,please give reasons for your argument

In my opinion, neither FIFA09 or PES09 is that close to the real thing. Both are out of date IMO.

PES for not Evolving after so many years. And FIFA for being so bad for so many years.

FIFA is too slow and watered down. A more realistic interpretation of Football, but not perfect as so many fans seem to suggest.

PES is arcade-like and as a consequence lacks plenty of depth in many aspects.

I think PES6 and PES5 are the best Football Sims around, still. Though admittedly, I haven't played nearly enough of FIFA09.

if you think fifa09 is out of date then you definitely havnt played it enough, EA created a completely new engine for PS3 using the best programers(some old Konami) availible and many other new devlopment techniques... not sure how much more upto date you can get..!!

Ive just worked it out, Dicky_T isnt actually playing fifa 09, he has an exclusive copy of "EA sports Paralympic soccer".

Makes sense now Dicky_T, thanks for the feedback.

Ps. PES5/6 more of a sim then FIFA 09? I love those versions of pes but you must be nuts, I still have copies of both games, No-way-in-hell are they more realistic than fifa 09.

I really worry about some people you know.

When you go on Amazon.co.uk to look at the reviews for PS3, you find some good reviews for pes 2009, you also find reviews like this, which pes would have never got in the past.

2) always go for glory themselves

Another thing which annoyed me about the become a legend mode was the fact that i could not make my player a footballing god straight away.I totally respect the fact that konami would like you to gradually become a good player as opposed to being uber talented from the get go, but to put it simply they ask too much. I mean if i want to be a 17yr old wiz kid i should be allowed that choice, no? Wouldn't it be better to let the people decide how they would like to approach this? because as you progress you will frequently find that ALOT of the 17-20yr old players in the game are better then you! with there stats in the 90's?!?!?! i mean c'mon thats ridiculous as the player is forced to start with stats which are unplayable, its not until you get to around 26/27 that your player becomes any good at all, and even then they'll only be average! what on earth is the point in that when at 26/27 your stats are coming close to the time they start to go down!!! arrrrgggggh!!!

As for the other modes, i just didnt bother after playing half way through a season in master league, there really is no point, nothing has been done to improve any aspect of it what so ever, the actual stats mean VERY LITTLE. On many occasions have i been running down the wing with a player whose speed and body balance are far superior to any guy from the opposing team, only to have one of their defenders completely overtake me. Also, with the shooting its pure luck if you score, you could take the same shot 10 times and only score it once. The stats feel as though they have very little to do with the gameplay. Which was really evident in the become a legend mode, my guy has 87 shot accuracy and sometimes i still manage to miss the most simplest of tap in's. You will often find that there is no space what so ever on the pitch which is hardly realistic for a football sim, as the amount of space on the pitch should vary on the score line/team style of play, so if both teams have an attacking formation/mentality then there shud be an abundance of space, konami have just ignored these elements completely and decided to make both teams participate in a royal rumble for the ball... I've seriously never felt more stressed while playing a game.

on the good side of things, the creation is okay i guess, and ummm...yeah thats about it. Which is why regretably i may be switching to FIFA upon a friends reccomendation.

still no reason why ,even though this has been going on a week i really worry about ppl who make half ass statements without reasons to back them up ,but because i`m so kind i`ll help you out

fifa game works well easy to play looks good and flows but thats the only part where fifa is better i`ll agree to that

but as for a more accurate simulation ,some one must be putting something in your cornflakes seriously ,first off this may sound like i am repeating myself but if its nots getting through i`ll have too

defending fifa doesnt defend it lets runners run straight through ,it allows attackers to run on the inside thats a basic rule of defending that gets taught to under 11`s ,the AI allows time and space for the man in possesion without marking any where else the whole game plan of the FIFA AI is to put bodys on the 18 yard line and hopes your stupid enough to run into it and thats it ,now thats a serious flaw as it takes the competitiveness out of the game

if a game cant defend a simple straight ball ,then it has no chance of defending a complex move except to sit and admire it as in the case of fifa ,so how the hell can that be more accurate to PES whos AI ,will pressure you ,deny you time and space ,try and hold up and slow down your attack ,and not only that will adapt to how you attack making you learn new ways of attacking and varying your attacking play

fact is PES has evolved you just dont have the intelligence to evolve with it

next point ,you say pes is easy because you can just run and score a cutback ,but if you dont have the sense to see it ,dribbling is a skill too thats why christiano ronaldo is the best player in the world ronaldinio before him zidane maradona etc,you just need to learn how to defend against it and as for it being arcarde like ,fifa has more skills and tricks but less defending ability

now take into account the realism of football the classic battle david v goliath ,the fa cup tie yeovil v man utd ,the team thats sat in prepared to defend against the team thats going to try and play football ,on fifa this is already a forgone conclusion simply because it cant defend 1 player will not make a difference if the other 9 outfield players are controlled by an AI that is clueless ,but on PES because of the AI you have a chance

next accuracy of turf and conditions ,on PES weather conditions effect the balls bounce and pace and the grass looks like grass ,fifa on the other hand looks like a football pitch drawn onto a peice of green card so taking that into account do you really think they have made an effort to put weather conditions in?

passing ever played a through ball on FIFA and its hit the intended receivers heels and the move breaks down? ever tried to play a square ball to an oncoming runner and its gone behind him because you didnt time it right no? i bet you have on PES now thats realism not all passes are accurate if they were why would there be schools of exellence ,football coaches ,and boots all designed to help a player

Well, in my opinion FIFA09 is out of date.

I won't waste my time arguing WHY it is exactly that I think its out of date, because I'm sure you'll see it differently no matter what. At times you and "trigglebeef" sound like EA representatives.

And I don't mean to come off as offensive or anything, because I really do appreciate the suggestions you guys give about FIFA09. But must say that you guys are starting to sound like EA representatives.

FIFA09 is good, but it isn't as great as you seem to suggest. It isn't as responsive nor as addictive as PES6 or PES5.

I can understand that in Your opinion FIFA09 is all that.. But you must respect that not everyone haves the same taste in games. I will give a serious try to FIFA, but I have played it a few times and I just don't see that grandness you guys talk about.

Perhaps I'll change my mind once I get to know FIFA09.

Dude, there are pages and pages of us staing specfic reasons why FIFA is better, thing is, we dont need you to tell us about fifa for the following three reasons.

1) You dont know what your talking about when it comes to fifa and that has been established

And if you look at the state of the sales of PES, you'll realise a number of hardcore pes fans are doing the same thing, which should tell people something.

For the last time, I AM NOT HERE TO CONVERT, you like pro, play pro, ill disagree with you if you think its better, im not on a mission to convert people. I just tell the truth, seabass fucked up, Pro evo is on the decline, fifa destroyed it this year, fifa will prolly kill it next year, if pro is better, ill buy it and ill be on here telling people how good it is.

That's fair enough as I probably will agree with you guys on most points Once I get to know FIFA09.

I'm just saying that this is starting to sound like a FIFA09 thread.. but if you think it will help..

Trigglebeef does elaborates a lot about FIFA09, but as soon as one asks for a simple favor such as "can you post all the Stats and Special Abilities in FIFA09??" He doesn't even bothers with it.

Which gives me the impression that he only likes to talk about FIFA and criticize PES.

FIFA09 is better than PES09, that's almost official by now. But is it better than PES6 or PES5?? I don't think so, better graphics, more animations, but to say it haves better gameplay seems a bit inaccurate.

for some reason i found my self lauhing in those vids about how much of a joke this is this game is acually a discrase sebass sitting there lying his ass off better stadiums where i didnt notice the crowd sounds the same as pes 3 to me omg this man knows nothing
