That pretty much sums it up for me -- it is fortunately convenient for Konami to consistently come up with excuses for their shortcomings.

PES5 was good, PES6 was good.. that was it for me. I think PES is hugely overrated, the title's whole reputation relies on just how bad FIFA was in the PS2 -and- on a couple of games such as PES5 and PES6.

In my opinion, I just do not see any encouraging hints nor improvements. For me PES is pretty much a lost cause. It had the potential of "evolving" into a great game, but it is very clear by now that -- it is unfortunately impossible.


P.S - If Konami had included "preset faces" and "preset hairstyles" like before, maybe Busquets and the rest of the players who aren't in the game would've been possible to create or edit. Without the need of the always cheap-looking "built faces".

If konami spent half the money and time they spent creating such an in depth system of automatic reply mails on pro, the game would be MUCH BETTER...fuckin douches...I dont get how MGS4 could be so flawless and its made by konami

I know it sucks that Gudjohnsen is missing, but you guys must know now that konami is from a other planet. Just make your own Gudjohnsen. PES is still the best football game out there.
Over the years I have called Konami loads of foul things but now I just think they are funny.
A other thing: if you all want PES to change, stop insulting them. Pick on EA sports insted. They are the reason PES have so many flaws. If we stop supporting Konami then all we have left is Fifa. Then we will have the situation they have in the US with Madden being the only football game. With a monopoly means that nothing new will happen

I don't want to have to edit a player that has been in the team for years. A player who gives depth to the squad and should be in it to begin with. Without him i only have two midfielders to cover several positions on the pitch. A player whose absence only helps to highlight even more the fail that this version has been.

1- So what? Does that mean that Uncharted will stop having a very good storyline just because they think Tomb Raider's is worse.

2- FIFA is not rubbish. The fact is FIFA is better than PES. Even the PSP version overpowers the PS3 PES version in what concerns reality, licenses, Manager Mode and commentary. The realism on FIFA 09 for PSP is fantastic, they even add fouls for player touches in GK in the small box, and the fatc players/balls wont go through each other and the balls have the laws of physic applied, since they dont hit a GK's knee and still go in.

Back on topic, Konami is irresponsible for what theyre doing I see no reason for Eidur Gudjohnsen being deleted in the 1.00 version AND in the 1.30 version since he plays regularly in the Barcelona team and he has a preset face. The answer in the first post seems fake, but if its real the maniac that wrote that thinks theyre game is so bad that he hasnt even played it (not my opinion), because Portsmouth, Stoke, Man U and some other teams have 32 players and not more because there isnt enough space (hence the not inclusion of Davenport, Ben Haim, Basinas and Stephen Kelly in the respective rosters).

I can understand that Pes 2009 is bad this year. And if they don't do Pes 2010 good i will never buy Pes again. Thanks to Pes i have crushed my controllers into the wall because of the gameplay. So many mistakes!!!!!

isnt really that much effort to create a person, yeah it shouldnt be done and he should be in the game but he isnt....im sure it doesnt make the game unplayable because he is missing (and yes i get the point he shouldnt be missing from the start but he is)

is there really any need for everyone to get so angry and insulting over a computer?

calling each other names isnt going to make him magically appear in the game, i do sometimes wonder what people are like in real life if they have to come onto a computer to argue and swear

Oh and to the person who said that taking Gerrard or Torres away from Liverpool is the same as Gudjohnsen not being at Barca obviously doesnt watch much football.....Torres and Gerrard have a much bigger impact on Liverpool than Gudjohnsen does on Barca it would be ALOT different if either of them were missing

WTF? So if they took away about 100 bad players because they are not famous it would not be a big impact? Why not take away all the players who are not famous then? Let only famous player be in the game! Konami must have been stupid to bring unknown players to the game it's only famous players how's matters in football. I know why you answered to my post? it's because your are a liverpoolfan. When it's about a liverpoolplayers you responded direct! If you were a player in Pes and Konami took you away from the game for no reason i know that you wouldn't be happy about that.
