As much as I feel slight disappointment with recent purchases of PES, I just have to take one look at the recent FIFA games and realise there's not much better on offer.

I think the gameplay on FIFA09 is one of the best, if not the best, a football game has had to offer. If PES had this gameplay and online mode, I wouldn't touch another football game.

The thing I truly hate on fifa 09 is the lack of responsivness when dribbling (takes ages to do it) and the shooting.

I feel exactly the same way mate. FIFA is just way too slow for me, and I don't get why people always say the graphics on FIFA are way better, I'm sorry I just don't see it.

Graphics in fifa are good? No. The players are badly made and it doesn't look realistic but the stadiums and light and shade are truly good.
About responsivness, All my friends say this. I have it on 360 and it just takes too much time for the dribbling move to take effect. Though I haven't fully mastered it yet. I know and I admit it. Though it's still lacks responsivness because it just doesn't react fast enough.
But anyway, the only league I have is on fifa with AS ROMA because the manager mode is awesome.

To be honest, I didn't think the models weren't anything to complain about... Running animations though, everyone ran the same. About the lighting, and I hate this about every game that's similar, is that its either a shadow or not, doesn't seem to be an in between.

I agree actually with the responsiveness bit, but you'll get used to it, keep playing, FIFA 09 has flaws and issues in terms of lastablity, but I just cant bring myself to play that 8- directions, players running around mindleslsly shit that is pes 09.

However PES 2010 has caught my attention this year, ever so slightly, as you know ive been playing PES for over a decade so i still have nostaliga for it. Konami are saying the right things and it looks very promising.

I aint got time these days to play both of these things to the max, so ill most likely buy one this year and stick to it.

We shall see what they have in store, I would be so fucking suprised if they can Turn it around, especially seeing what EA reckon they can bring to the table.

For instance, you say you like the manager mode on fifa? Mate, apparently they are gonna overhaul it with loads more stuff so it destroys last years version and that without even going into gameplay details.

When I see shit like that, it makes you wonder how much chance pes has.

Its very legitimate as a point.

Especially seeing as one of the main complaints of PES2009 is that its still got the same old 8 directional movement.

Very simple. This now proves that PES 2010 Abosultey needs to improve its directional movement.

Next time ill come on here with the usual "If they just make the gameplay like the old ps2 version, the game will be the best" shit, people need to move on.

-More real Leagues
-More player animations
-More in depth master league involving better transfers and real money
-No more AI cheating
-More editing options

Im talking about proper next gen updates, not a return to PES5 or some PS2 shit, cos those days are over.

I don't know about anybody else, but the reason I always choose PES over FIFA is the scoring. Socring a goal feels natural and realistic in PES while it feels boring and mechnaical in FIFA. You can only score one way in FIFA it seems, a finesse shot when you are on a breakaway.

Get Germany licensed along with Bundesliga would be Better rather than champions league orr Europa League. Few countries i would to have licensed
Germany, Denmark, Russia and Switzerland. Also Premier League License would be nice too.
