Sorry but in the France and Germany game, The goalkeeper for Benzema's goal was poor! Is it me or does Pro Evo 2010 still look crap?

^What could a normal keeper do against that shot? NOTHING. I actually like it. Look at the 2 videos posted by Alolo at the top of this page.
Great ones, especially that 2-1 by Barcelona vs liverpool.
The keeper really did a great save from xavi's freekick and held it well.
Also the messi goals felt really realistic.

So apparently the list of licensed teams is announced, available for viewing on the PES 2010 wiki page...

if all the teams there are actually in the game, then that is AWESOME!!! Many of the teams on that list aren't in FIFA and likely never will be. PES for the ****ing win.

Nah, they don't cite any source for it. Apparently this is the real list (which isn't the final one btw): http://winningelevenblog.com/blog/pes-2010-team-list/#more-1695
Anyway, some teams of the wiki list should be in the game, cuz they're already qualified for the UEL groups (e.g. Timişoara, Sheriff Tiraspol).

Its a better video, I browsed through the video a little bit and it was better in terms of speed, how some people thinks that represents a far superior build to the other vids i dont know.

The excuses going around are just so embarassing, Konami have fucked it up and got wasted at 2 conferences in a row by EA, e3 they were horrible and they made excuses and they got shown up again here.

Go online and see what non fanboys of pes think of that game, I can tell you now some of the EA playtesters went over to play it expecting huge things, and they were shocked at the videos.

the AI was set on amateur so what do you expect?
the defender didn't even try to catch BENZEMA

True. Amateur level is easy so they'll go easy aswell.

Tech, with the same argument pes fans that played fifa 10 said that it looks a good game, actually a great game but lacks too much individuality and the defence is not realistic. It all about opinions.

The individuality sermon in favour is pro is a bit off, where each player runs exactly the same way and finshes in the same way.

Also, if players are soooooo indvidual and passing is determined purely by stats, tell me why Lille can play barcelona style football in pes?

I get your point and everything, but lets not over do it.

the vids are better, the guy playing as liverpool sucks, hes another online tap in artists, he has the ball in plenty of space at the edge of the area with gerrard and passes, the dumbass. the save from xavi freekick is nothing special, hes expected to save that, hes gone to the keepers near side, its not exactly venomous and its from a fair distance, im pretty sure the save is the same as anything we have seen in 09. the penalties look better, been able to move the keeper. new keeper animations are needed though.

as for the france barca game, messi's finish is nice and other shots give me hope of extra animations. the keeper mucks up a bit on a cross which he spills but then does a good double save afterwards.

i dont really give a dam what the EA playtesters thought, or what the reviewers say, i will make my own mind up when the games are shipped.

btw didnt one press review say something about players pointing into space for the ball? if they did i havent seen that yet?

seriously techskill ive looked at the fifa10 videos from gamescom and i think it looks slow and laboured and im pretty unimpressed.

i really cant understand what people are raving on about the animations dont look that special and it still seems very flat and wooden.

pes2010 even at this earlier stage still seems to be the better game it just looks more lifelike and theres more energy in the players where as fifa reminds me of the old fifa games back in the day.

i also noticed in the fifa vids the players seem slow to respond to the play you know the old fifa delay and it looks dated in comparison to pes2010.

I've been lurking on these forums for a long time now, finally registered today. This forum is sooo addictive. I posted the following at PESFan ... but they deleted my post so I'm never visiting their website ever again. f*cktards.

"The sad thing about the PES 2010 gameplay we've seen is that really, it's what PES2008 SHOULD have been. It still looks like an upgraded PS2 game. Only PES & Konami could make a game that is so promising but so disappointing at the very same time. "

Both FIFA & PES this year are looking good, I'm definately getting FIFA cos it just looks phenomenal, and I'll probably get PES depending on how good the demo is.

Yes, PES2010 is looking good, but I can't help think that it's just a few years too late. At least now they've got a better platform to build from I suppose.

There's a few things thats really bothering me though in these gameplay videos are the general things that have already been commented on by a number of people throughout this forum. But the main one is the fact that you can clearly see (especially on replays) that half the time the players foot doesn't actually connect with the ball. THAT is just unacceptable IMO, especially as we're now just a few months away from 2010 and have been on these "next-gen" platforms for a number of years now.

Another thing is that the overall look and style just hasn't progressed whatsoever from PS2. Yes, animations may have been improved and graphics may be better. WOOPEDY DO. Graphics and animations SHOULD have been improved years ago, so please people don't act like we're lucky to have nice graphics or whatever when it's something that is a requirement in any game on any platform that gets released year after year and is Konami's duty to the paying customer. It's just that the look is the same, the camera angles are the same, just everything just feels samey. Gameplay may be better than 2009, but that's not saying much.

But, as always with PES, once you get your hands on the game it may be hard to put down. I have a feeling that PES 2010 will get some of the magic back this year. We'll see ...

strange, my thoughts were that PES2010 looked dated compared to FIFA, and just in general

Although at times FIFA does look slow to respond, though I think that's due to the player's stats and not the game in general if that makes sense (eg player response stats: 63/100, reaction time 68/100, etc.)

Seriously, i dont know what you have watching, im watching one of the latest ones now, and its nuts, very life like at times, the players playing it are embarassing as well, and you can still see its a serious game, its about to go up in the fifa thread.

Dont take my word for it mate, wait till the games come out.

I believe Konami is gonna loose so many customers, because persons like Tech Skill who played the old PS2 games are not gonna buy this PES 2009 with improved graphics and minor changes named PES 2010.Many people expected a completely different game, including me.
Watching first video from Aolo's youtube link I realise PES 2010 plays 95% like PES 2009.
SHAME be with you KONAMI.

^The difference is there. You are not seeing it.

I think you are over doing it to be honest.

What? In fifa the same thing happens. At least in pes, great skilled players shoot more often with inside of boot and whoever has the outside of boot ability, will make it easier to score and pass with the outside of boot. This in fifa doesn't exist. Oh and at least pes has 4 running anitmations while fifa has 1.

Also, if players are soooooo indvidual and passing is determined purely by stats, tell me why Lille can play barcelona style football in pes?
In pes 2009 this sometimes happens, yes, but not in pes 5 and 6.
Also playing a style of football isn't a big deal, it's just a matter on how good they are at it. Meaning even lille in reality can play like barca (meaning attack and from wings etc..) in football style, but that doesn't mean they can match Barca.
Playing style and skill are different parts.
But I know about passing in pes 09. It lacked individuality compared to previous pes, but hey, it's still better than fifa where every player passes the same. In fifa the passing is determined by who's playing it not by both the player playing the game and the player in the game.
Look at Juve for example. This year they changed their playing style.

I played even before that.

My pes highlights were

ISS PRO EVOLUTION on psx, I wish i still had a copy, that game was just nuts for its time, I'd actually just got off ISS on n64 was and playing fifa on psx, till this came out, unreal game, i was so shit at 1st and hated it, but i knew it was the truth and wouldnt rest until i mastered it. Great game, even now.

PES3: Real kits for the 1st time, names on back shirts, updated master leauge, handballs, advantage, great gameplay, the best pes i ever played imo, either that or pes6.

you and me both because i can't understand why people think that FIFA looks that good compared to PES because i think it's the opposite.
the players ,the plays, the stadiums and the goals all look so real and lifelike and FIFA just looks like a game no matter how much i watch the videos they don't impress me so...............just don't get it.
