Why PES 2011 and not FIFA 2011 ?

^ I know the World cup is their latest game BUT I DO NOT COUNT THAT. Why?
Because it isn't part of the series. I mean it doesn't come out every year like the normal fifa does and since this was an argument of pes 11 and fifa 11, we might aswell compare pes 10 to fifa 10 not fifa WC.
I also know that the world cup game is better but, the things I mentioned still counts even for the world cup game.
The AI is still not good, it's still flawed and the same problems still exist, even though it is overall better than fifa 10.
That said, if fifa can make more individuality, MUCH BETTER AI, less predictable and better dribbling (the way it is, is you beat defenders only with pace and strength. NO TECHNIQUE or much less compared to reality), then fifa will easily put down pes forever.

Online is where gaming is today. Gone are the days when we all can have our buddies join up at one venue to play video games. It is much easier to invite them for a game online in the confines of our own homes regardless of country or location. Think about that.

With that said. I am predicting that PES 2011 will still have issues with online, which will cripple the series again.

Although many here may disagree..(its a PES forum) Fifa is heading for another massive lead on PES this year. We all are focusing on PES2011 while ignoring the fact that EA is now improving on a solid base with additions to the game based solely on fans request.

Mark my word ...Fifa 11 will be awesome...PES 2011 ...maybe :blush:

Complete agree , Online gaming is ALL today ! Football Fans buying FIFA because online mode , they want to play with their friends together in a team , and they have fun there . PES online mode since pes 2008 is awful .

That is so wrong. It's popular online, because you can play a game free of lag.

It'd be silly to choose from PES 2011 and FIFA 11 at this moment, as there is such a long way to go before both are released.

PES is going to have to make rapid improvement to get back onto level terms with FIFA though, as PES 2010 was a ridiculous attempt of a game.

makes it that more real wouldn't you say because not every created chance in football is a goal or not.
some chances become the talk of the match afterwards even though they didn't result in a goal.
some chances are even talked about till this day.

Me and my brother watch the premier league and champions league every week and quite frankly know our football, where as I had a 4 mates over who "watch occasionally when their team is doing well..." and they play fifa. All they could do was laugh at pes and say how robotic it looks.

I agree that the animations arnt that good but the way the ball reacts and the tactics involved make it look more like real football. FIFA makes the game look perfect and it is far from it, EA need to consentrate more on the touch and ball physics because its way too smooth! Maybe then I will agree. But for me PES is the more enjoyable football sim by far.

Also I agree about scoring goals, ever time I come back or score I go crazy, neighbours hate me lol!

Pes 2010 is a better game for me but still it´s not great. It feels a bit strange that it´s the year 2010 and we are still suffering from buggy soccer games like Pes and Fifa and why are there only two big soccer games on the marked? We have had hundreds of great first person shooters over the years like Half life, Cod, Battlefield, Doom and so on. Wasn´t the movie "2001 A Space Odyssey" supposed to happen 9 years ago!

^^ thats how it is for most sports games, only 2 or 3, companies dont wanna risk creating a sports game and then failing, the licenses determine alot and EA has bought most of the licenses and made them exclusive, PES has mantained because of its solid gameplay and us, the hardcore fans that will always buy PES.

lets hope that those who thought FIFA was already a sim wise up now because just like RUTTER mentioned it wasn't.

this will be the year with the addition of the PRO-PASS and PERSONALITY + features FIFA will be making this leap.

looking forward to it honestly and i'm also anxious to know how the FIFA fans will respond to it especially the younger ones now that you can not just pick any team or player and do whatever you want.
your knowledge of teams and players will be needed here.

the satisfaction of beating the big teams with the weaker ones will be greater though because u would of finally really worked for it.

I just don't see why online is so important. I mean it is important but games are judged mostly on online. And that sucks. I am not saying this because of pes, because there are other games that someone turned their back on it because of no online or because of something in onine. Single player now is 2nd choice. I hate that.
Now as for the thread. Both games aren't out and both games haven't released demos so I cannot say for sure.

I agree with you and Shaun7 as well. Everyone is so fussed with online master league, online franchise etc. it really annoys me.

I'm not interested in online anything, and haven't played 1 sports game online ever...and won't. As from what I've heard 99% of online players just ruin the whole experience by either cheating or playing the game exactly the opposite of the way it's suppose to be played.

I'm stricly an offline guy, and it bothers me when an announcement like Online Master League is made because I worry that no effort will be made to improve offline ML or BAL....and in the case of offline ML, that and their gameplay is what made PES so popular in the first place!

It's not that I hate online, but everyone is so focused on online and online can be a decisive purchase on a game. AND THAT'S WHERE I GET MAD because offline is just as important. Actually it's more important than online because the biggest part of games are offline.

I'm one of the very few people who couldn't care less about online gaming, I think it gives developers an excuse to leave content out the game in some cases to rope you in to paying for online content. I play 90% offline master league and 10% multiplayer.

Played once online and that wasn't as fun to me as playing with my own team with my edits.

BAL could be so awesome, you hope it's got the attention it deserves.
