Finally achieved the giant throw and power free kick traits.

The latter makes defending freekicks insane, as when you dont score, the keeper will always parry, more often than not right into the middle of the box and chaos ensues!! Need to start playing club more, i'll try to be on tonight.

I've improved my VP's physical abilities, which appeared to me a difference in the one game I played, last night. Most notably, his stamina. I was able to run around for much longer, which is important for my role.

I might come on for a few games, after the England match.

I'm working til 9ish, but afterwards around 10 onwards I'm available.

It's very frustrating building up your VP (for me anyway) due to the fact I never play FIFA offline because tbh I think it sucks - players from Barnet etc can outpace/outmuscle my AC Milan boys - unlikely?

But apart from doing friendly matches (seems to be the easiest way to build your VP) against the CPU, which annoys me, I don't have much choice

I think my guys overall is 78 the now.

If it's simply about physical attributes, then yes, lower leage players might be able to outpace/outmuscle better footballers.

I've started a player-manager career with Arsenal and that seems to be working for me. I've played my VP in different positions, in order to develop different abilities. Playing around good players seems to be benefitial to my growth, too.

Don't worry gun runner, you're not the only one who hates it. Seeing an Accrington stanley player doing a rainbow flick and scoring from 25 yards out on the volley is a joy to behold, but fucking annoying as hell when you're trying to keep a clean sheet in defense!!

Perhaps the different difficulty levels gives them boosts to their stats as well as giving the players intelligence? I havent tried legendary yet for fear of getting smashed!!

Some accomplishments need to be done on certain difficulties btw...just in case you didn't realize that? Maybe that's where you're going wrong?

Jonno I'm not turning on my giant throw so you'd better do it.

I'm up to 70% now, need to do about 15 more defence ones though before I get the Power Header, which would only improve my heading ability further.

And Original, I don't like criticising anyone, but just one thing - PLEASE cross as soon as possible when you have the ball in the wide positions. There's no need to fuck about trying to get inside. I don't know if you're trying to get it onto your right, cut inside and score, etc, but - and I'm just calling it how I see it - you usually end up losing the ball. I don't mind when you go on mazy runs when going towards goal, but when you're out wide you should really get a cross in, as 9 times out of 10 I'll probably score if it's anywhere near me. It's just really frustrating being your strike partner, because most of the time I can't tell what you're going to do.

I've started playing Fifa 11 on the 360 the last few nights and as much as it pains me to say it, the game is far more complete than PES nowdays. I'm a long way from been anywhere near as good as I'd like to be but I'll tip away and do my trade in the manager mode.

Maybe Santa is good to me and brings me a PS3

I have to agree with Barn. Seeing Original? get the ball down the line fills me with despair as I know he's gonna cut inside and try and take on the whole team rather than cross it in. At least when Sweey takes on the full back it's in order to get into a better crossing position.

Since the demos for both PES and FIFA are now out, I'm sure people will be deciding which - if they're only buying one - they will be purchasing. Therefore, I thought it would be a good idea to see what sort of numbers will be looking to participate in clubs this year, and if we have any newcomers who would be interested in signing up for us.

It depends on whether you are successful in completing the required tasks that increase your stats. You can play the game of ages, but if you dribble past two players, but you need to go past three, you won't get the points. I hope that makes sense.

It does, but do you have to be online to build him up or can you import your player?
