[STATS] FM to PES 2012 Converter

Ok, I tried converting Diego Souza again, and there were no over-99 values this time

I was also able to tick the preferred moves boxes this time. Diego Souza has "Gets Into Opposition Area", "Plays One Twos" and "Shoots with Power", and I checked them all. But all these moves only gave him the "1-Touch Play" card.

Attack and Defense awareness don't have any value too.

I don't know what's happened then mate, gets in opposition area should give him free roaming, plays one-twos should give him 1-touch play and shoots with power should increase his kicking power (if he had shoots long too, he would then get long range drive)

I've put his stats in and got free roaming and 1-touch play... curious

as for the attack defence awareness ive got Attack:3 Defence:2 try making sure he has a registered position if he doesnt these wont work. just adjust one of his positions down

He has Free Role 20 and Attacking Midfielder (Centre) 20, so he didn't receive a registered position.

Then I lowered his Free Role to 19. Suddenly the Att/Def awareness stats and Free Roaming card appeared...

I just found it strange because most of his stats are 13, and he has four 16: Jumping, Balance, Natural Fitness and Strenght.

I don't know which stats define his Defense in PES, so I assumed it would be Strenght (because Jumping and Balance has its own stats in PES). Than I did a simple calculation:

100 ______ 20
x ________ 16 x = 80

His others defensive stats include Marking (13) and Tackling (14), nothing that would give him a 87.

I'm only saying this because I don't know what calculations are involved in the converter. I wonder what Puyol's Defense stat would be in PES after the conversion, having in mind that his Marking is 17 and Tackling is 18.

But anyway, that was the only strange stat I found after 5 or 6 conversions. The other players have spot-on stats in PES

I did apply a small cavaet that i thought i would add to see if players attack/defence stats would adjust depending on their position and his fm stats but its obviously not working!

Ive removed this and i'll post one up that doesnt include it...

btw Dede now has 79 defence according to the new calculation

That's defined with the Attacking/Defensive Awareness now, isn't it?

79 is a good value, having in mind that he should receive upgraded stats in FM2012 (a year ago he wasn't even in the starting line-up, if I'm not mistaken).

yeh thats why i thought i would include the position in the calculation. it doesnt work though things just double up which then screws it up

REMEMBER:
The player will need a registered position for the Attack/Defence Awareness to work so if 2 of the position scores in FM are the same, simply reduce one of them by 1 and this will then work!

also please dont worry about the gK sheet, im working on this as we speak

Just to clear up with the Attack/Defence rating heres my understanding of the stats. The Attack/Defence ratings are to do with a players positioning when attacking or defending the new Attack/Defence Awareness stats are how likely the player is to attack or defend kind of replacing the old OFF/BAL/DEF but with more variables. These stats will always be the hardest to work out as just because a player is a CF doesnt mean he doesnt defend or isnt good at it with the reverse true of a Defender. We will keep working on them & hopefully a few more people will test this out. Cheers guys

I tried to do Mephis Depay (PSV Youngster) I got a defence rating of -13?!? and why isn't the imp. matches rating included in the converter (it's bit confusing cuz you have to skip one)

Edit: it's not clear how to insert the age (not a mayor point) genie scout uses for example 13.02.1994

the age thing needs to be communicated to users!

Well have to give instructions on how to do this, but basically you need to change the way your PC/Laptop expresses the current date.

It will will probably express today's date in 28/09/2011 we all need to change it to express it in 28.09.2011 otherwise the age thing wont work in excel.

this though is a small point as the age of the player wont be an issue for evryone. Once the file is fully ready we'll include some instructions to get people going!

Once i've done this, and looked at the whther or not GK stats can be done on the same PES sheet i'll stick another draft to see how it fairs

Ok time for you all to test another version Vinnie has been busy tweaking as he posted earlier & I have added the formulas to the new GK sheet, any feedback let us know, but I think as a guide its probably only one for revision from being complete.

Also I have added a reset button to the FM sheet so when you want to create a new player everything goes back to default

It might just be my excel settings but some of the preferred moves don't fit in the box? And i think all the boxes and the text in it are small.. on the fm page i mean

cheers luuk we'll take a look at this but, ive got my zoom set to 80% one we could try is to shorten the name of the foe some of the move by removing words like tries and likes, just dont want to create confusion though

anyway ive been working on the GKs sheet a little just to tighten things up. Paul let me know if theres anything you insist on not changing.

i'll assume the outfielders sheet is fine as not many points have come back! on the GKs what do think about including preferred moves? Personally i think it may create some individualism but dont agree with GKs getting player index cards so i can use preferred moves to dictate stats instead, thoughts? Also, are there any PES stats that we dont need to calculate? i.e. PSD give all GKs the same rating for certain things. Do u want us to do that?

Oh and can someone recommend a young GK, a pen/FK taking GK and a GK who has preferred moves in FM pleas? I can obviously search for these but if people know what im looking at the conversations become easier!

Pen/FK Taking GK should be São Paulo's Rogério Ceni. He scored more than 100 goals already.
