In terms of results, a decent night, however I found myself getting very frustrated at my own performances. The games just seemed to be passing me by and I could get into them. I felt what happened in the last game was coming tbh. Despite the results, I didn't think our performances had been particularly good and our superb efficiency in front of goal (credit must go to Berry, Joel and Original? for some cracking finishing) and the poor quality of our opponents were papering over cracks, which would be exposed by better opposition. We were taking too many risks and lost our shape. A couple of things which really frustrated me were:
1) Lobbed through balls - fair enough that we got a couple of goals out of them, but I felt we were trying far too many. They're great when they come off, but the majority of the time, they don't and it is especially infuriating when someone goes for an unlikely lobbed through ball, which goes straight to the opposition, when there's an easy pass on for them. Basically, they're a great way of giving the ball away cheaply and, by trying them too often, it just undermines the possession game we pride ourselves on playing.
2) Calling - [Insert mandatory line about my own chequered past in regards to calling here] Generally, we're pretty good with calling, in the sense that we rarely do it. However, I felt, tonight, it became a problem, at times, not because people were doing it too often, but rather that there was a lot of calling for long, lofted balls from the CPU. Aside from the fact that the CPU often aren't good enough to play the balls and possession is given away, there are also others usually in better, safer positions to receive the ball. Not to mention that like lobbed through balls, it kinda goes against our ethos of keeping possession, when done too often.

The opposition had this guy called Dale, who scored several own goals, because he was crap and at the end of the game everyone beat him up :folarm:

Good strikers anticipated. I also set up the first two with two fine crosses - I bring the goals but also a more rounded game Joel, whereas you just bring the odd goal and lots of shitness.
Plus you conveniently forget again the overall goal record.

That was more in the hope of someone cutting his career short. Phats maybe might be up for that.
We got to play 'em soon. It's easier to lose focus playing random team after random team.

Joel, I go back to Original even questioning your ability in front of goal just a few posts ago - nothing else need be said. I go past players in every game. And the amount of times I would set you up only to see your talentless bastard miss...
Berry you weren't around before the split, to see Joel in his purest, shittest form. And obviously neither knows how the other is really doing so you should be calling Joel's statements as bullshit. That said, I have corroboration from Original, whereas Joel has nothing on my performances.

Yeah, I had a bad night. I scored one goal in about 5 matches. The game where I scored we lost and the other games where I didn't we won.
I've played in every position, because my player is a footballer. You've played a few at centre back and everything else up front, because your player is limited as fuck. I've played around 300 games. You've played around 700 games.
It's only since the split that I've been consistently a centre forward and have scored consistently. Go figure.
All that time wasted accommodating your fat ass. With you in the team, we could only play one style. HOOF.
You have corroborations from Berry and Bammers which you choose to ignore. So I'm going to ignore your overall record and say what I saw: You scored a goal where the goalkeeper passed you the ball and no defenders were around.
