ive heard that motherwell is to replace rangers in pes 2013..

haha that is quite funny  I think that must be wrong though. I mean weigh it up - Rangers and Motherwell. Rangers have much much more following, even with them being in division 3 now. They have fans all over the World. Then you have Motherwell who are probably known in Britain but outwith Britain I am sure people would struggle to tell you who they are. It would make no sense for them to get rid of Rangers and replace them with Motherwell. No offense to Motherwell but there just wouldn't be as much interest.

 if you look at the players rangers have and all the players who left... so their fan base must have gotten lower... like porthsmouth.. that only have 5 or 6 players in the 1st team...

not anymore...

What makes you say that? I live here in Scotland and am a Celtic fan. Lot's of my friends are Rangers fans and still are? The fact is there a famous team with a worldwide reputation. This is not portsmouth you are talking about. Even if some fans have lost interest they still outnumber those who support Motherwell. So why then would Konami risk a small percentage of fans by replacing Rangers with Motherwell?

Finally downloaded the demo from the euro store at midnight when PSN was finally finished with store maintenance :realmad:

For me, I don't think it was WOW, konami has created a great game as much as they simply got back to the basics of what a fundamental game would be more like. This demo highlights how bad 2012 really is. I won't say shooting improved as much as shooting back to normal.

I felt like I was playing a PS2 game. Very linear movements. CPU Welbeck had a breakaway and sidestepped my keeper - but it was a very square motion, cut right 90 degrees, cut left 90 degrees, shoot. Very PS2 like and 'un-lifelike'. I know that makes you PES5&6 fan boys happy (a joke).

This was the first time I booted up a PES game since leaving 2012 for FIFA12. My teammates in FIFA12 will make all sorts of runs, change angles to get open, side step defenders to get open, move in circular fashion.....but this PES demo was run forward or the same diagonal. I like better movement than that. But I did like that my teammates made some nice runs into the box.

Here is the greatest promise for me: I bitch over and over about CPU goal kicks, defensive clears, and even my headers that go on a string to the CPU forward every time. Drives me insane and the biggest reason I left PES2012. I was very pleased to see this fixed. I thought for sure this would not be filtered out but this alteration in the demo should be blown by trumpet all over this thread. In fact, I intercepted every goal kick and defensive clear the CPU delivered.

Right stick choose defender actually works. In 2012 we had to release all controls to allow it to happen. Now I can continue sprinting with defender 1, and then right stick to defender 2 without defender 1 having to stop in his tracks and give up the run. Huge change.

I didn't play enough to say much about A.I. I did feel my defenders parking in the box, and staying tight, better than 2012 but will have to pay attention more.

General running animimation still has legs moving too fast. White players seemed over the top pasty white like they were dead. Dribbling a little too yo-yo. You could really see it with that striped ball.

this post getting too long so I will stop there but want to carry on.

I can't speak regarding International teams on the demo - I've only played one game - but in terms of using South American club teams, its been a real joy for me. If it turns out that the South American Club teams are the only section I'll be happy using, so be it. I'd happily buy the game on the strength of being able to use Flamengo ... although it does seem that Ronaldinho has since signed for Atletico Mineiro, might be worth base copying him before an update wipes him from the game ... unless Mineiro are in the game of course.

I really enjoyed the demo, playing it just now. Think the PES team have really listened to the fans this year round. Nothing to complain about, whereas in PES2012 I could go on and on with a list of faults.

I fell away from PES last year and never played it much, if I did, I played a mate online, never really ventured into the online lobbies. As a result of not playing PES, I was rarely on the forum, so hopefully my love for this one will bring me back on the forum more often.

For me, if they tweak the first demo too much, they would maybe ruin a great game. Hopefully they don't do too much to it, but time will tell.

We will have to work Konami over for diverse movement off the ball (see my post two above) for 2014 because too much to ask for 2013 between now and the final release.

EVEN ON THE FIFA FORUMS PES IS GETTING A LOT OF PRAISE

I tried PES several times over the years and imo it was years behind EA. Game play, graphics engine it felt like unfinished product. Despite their (EA) bugs among other issues EA FIFA experience was and most likely will be fairly enjoyable.

... then again some ppl will play it and think world of it, good luck to you!

Does no-one read?? We all agree that PES has been far worse than FIFA in recent years, that is why this demo of 2013 is such a surprise, because the gameplay blows FIFA 12's out of the water.

* people. READ.

isnt the whole brazil league in the full game?

Well that's not definite, the tweets about this suggest a South American league, that could mean either an actual league from South America or teams made up of that region.
