Just to put things into perspective: the GPU in the PS4 is very close to the Radeon HD 7850. When Dundon's was buying new hardware, I explicitly told him to buy a HD 7950. Therefore, while game graphics will look particularly impressive on the PS4 due to optimization on a single set of hardware, the PC is more than capable of producing better but generally doesn't because developers have to spend their time getting games to work on hundreds of thousands of hardware configurations rather than. Some take the time to optimize on PC, some don't.

The Witcher 3 should look utterly amazing on both platforms - the series has always looked fantastic on PC.

EDIT: Just seen Dundon's post on the last page with a quote from an article that pretty much says what I have above.

Even though I think the final game will never reach this clairty, this does lookr ather fantastic, makes me want to give Dragons Dogma a go now:

That impressed me greatly, I'm most interested in Watch Dogs so much that I would buy a next gen console just for that game!

So, which game will be the "next Lair"? ie the one that's overhyped and turns out to be completely shit.

With regards to the sequels - namely inFamous and Killzone.... how much more can they actually do with them, beyond the obvious graphical improvements to make them feel fresh? Both of them are obviously must buys for fans of the series.

Is there any news on game pricing?

It's also coming out on PS3/360/Wii U, depends on the visual differences that occur between the versions.

Ali; no word on any pricing yet, anything from £300 to $500 has been tossed around so far. E3 will be the next reveals.

I know, hence next gen console rather than PS4. Obviously it will look its best on next gen/PC so I will wait for it to be released on there!

Was talking about the pricing of the games, not the consoles. I don't think I've heard a single thing on the game pricing, don't know about anyone else?

Are we expecting them to be approx. £40 just like ps3 games?

EDIT: Haribo - yeah, I read briefly about the used games thing. But did they mention about any other measures? They could still have you enter an online code for a new game, which will have to be purchased along with any used games.... which would be a very bastardly thing to do.

They focused a lot on streaming and downloading games, I'm surprised they didn't say 'we're having a disc less console' but obviously it would be a major fail if they did. I'd expect for the first year games would be £50 then drop down to £40.

Will be interesting to see how the sales for the next installment of Fifa go given the fact that the new console will be released not too long after. I flogged my PS3 there a few weeks ago while it's still worth some salt.

Doubt we'll see a next gen Fifa until next year, well I hope not anyway. Remember how awful the first 360/PS3 Fifa was?

I might invest in one for Christmas depending on the price tag and the launch release titles. I want a good football game. :realmad:

PES should of taken a year out and worked towards releasing a killer title for the next gen consoles upon their release, that would of been a great way off getting back a lot of the people who jumped over to the Fifa brand.

Well who knows what PES will look like with the new Fox engine :eek:hmy:

Also a Kill zone that finally has environments with more than one color! I cant even begin to imagine what the next Uncharted will look like on the PS4

ye of little faith I'd imagine you to come back to PES around the same time Bolton do

Edit:

That price 600 bucks for me. Most I ever payed for a system was 400 when I bought my PS3. I'd imagine all these guarantees and game included drive the price up by at least 100 pounds?
