No Edit Mode. The Reason Why

i have it on good authority from someone in the game industry,
that konami were forced to drop the edit mode because of copyright laws.
seems including the edit mode left konami open to copyright infringments, one of them being option file downloads being available online for download.
so yes we are all to blame for the edit mode being removed, if we had all just been satisfied with editing the game ourselves, the edit mode would still be in there.
however because theres so many lazy gits out there me included, who expected others to do the work and make it available too all to download, its messed it up for all of us.
My real concern over this is the pes series will never be the same again, unless konami get the licencing, which looks like it aint ever gonna happen.

My personal view is the game was simply rushed for release on the 360 at the same time as PS2. And they did not have time to include things like edit mode and more stadiums.

Spot on Hitman, I figure the transfer to Next-Gen took longer than they thought it would ergo, they had to drop some less important features.

sorry but thats bullshit, the laws of copyroght and infrignement are the same for all consoles all music artists, all inventors, all movie directors etc. if the xbox cnt have neither can the ps2 or any other console...

microsoft are simply on taking everyones money nowa days..... has anyone noticed how you can buy games that are specifically for online play on pc? and that you have to pay a small subscription fee to play it? so its like there charging us, to be able to charge us furthere, i guarentee everything that is missing will be able to download for a price on xbox live

hitmans right, jus not enuff time.they have focused on wot a game needs in the tiem they have, gameplay, and i feel they have done a good job.oh well no edit mode, live with it 4 the year!nxt edition shud hopefully hav it!

i think that they possibly thought it wud be a simple port situation but they upgraded the ai and graphics and this possibly took longer.the developers need to familiarise themselves with all the new capabilities and software 4 360,u hav to remember how lon the ps2 has been ot now

If someone can break it, someone can make it, don't worry, there is bound to be someone that will eventually make a program to externally edit it. And KONAMI don't seem to know how to protect there resource files. Maybe something similar to kitserver but something like playerserver for an x360 will come out? and anyway, that's not a problem, X360s have practically the same diversity as a pc, and X-BOX Live FTP will have patches flying everywhere. Not to worry my friend.

It's a BS explenation. Konami isnt responsible for what WE, the users, do with the edit-function. We're free to create and make our own players and edit existing one.

I'm not sure about how option-files are illegal or not. I'd love to see someone go to court over it and we'll get to see who's right.

I dont have the copyright to the Arsenal logo and images, but if I would make an Arsenal wallpaper, with logos and official images and post it on my website for others to download, would that be illegal!? Technically PERHAPS... but I doubt any judge would convict me.

Anyway, fact is and remains that Konami have just been too lazy with the 360 version. No matter what excuses they or anyone else might come up with, they're still asking a full-price tag for a half-completed game that hardly works online.

wots FTP?

A program made to link to the database to upload and download with certain conditions to be able to delete anything in a database (Username/Password) . Users then connect to the database with limited authority (download only) with their X360 Live accounts and download files. I think there is a connection between X360 live and normal pc internet via connection to microsoft anyway.

Pro Evolution Soccer 6

Pro Evolution Soccer 6 will be released on Friday the 27th of October 2006 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox 360 and PC platforms. The DS and PSP versions will follow on the 3rd November. A criticism of the previous version was that the game was too unforgiving and so suppressed fluid attacking football. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 promises to 'embrace the beautiful game' with more tricks and an overall more attacking mentality, with players encouraged to take people on. More licensed teams are promised, along with new boots, hairstyles and an improved Master League. More licenses are included, including fully licensed international kits with England, Spain and Italy to name a few (as well as the ever present Japan license) the French Ligue 1 Orange is now fully licensed plus more club licenses, including Manchester United, Olympiakos and Bayern Munich. A Bundesliga licence was supposed to happen but Konami were forced to remove the Bundesliga licensing, which means the Bundesliga will not be present in PES6, not even as a series of unlicensed teams.

An Xbox 360 release is present and scheduled for 27th October although shops have been misinformed and have been told to release it on the 25th. It features next-generation, Hi-Definition graphics and more animations, but gameplay similar to the console versions, according to a recent interview with Seabass. The Xbox 360 version also finally introduces the Pro Evolution series to widescreen gaming, a feature that was sorely missing from its PS2 and Xbox versions of the game. Some of the gameplay and editing options have been severely stripped down for the 360 release (Konami claim this was due to lack of time). In addition it is not possible to save replays on the Xbox 360 version despite the manual claiming that it can be done. Whether or not Konami will release a fix for this on the popular Xbox Live service remains to be seen. A new DS version is set, with gameplay and graphics reminiscent to the Playstation Pro Evolution Soccer games. The graphics engine on the PC will not utilise the next-gen 360 engine but will again be a direct conversion of the PlayStation 2 engine.

* Although players retire in the game, the players reincarnate later, available as 17-year olds in the "Newcomers" section.

* The English version of PES 6 has England and Chelsea captain John Terry (who, together with Arsenal's Thierry Henry poses on the cover of Pro Evolution Soccer 5) as its cover star. He is actually a huge fan of the PES series. He is known to arrange PES tournaments for his team mates at Chelsea, as well as bringing copies of the game with him when on international duty. Also Adriano Leite Ribeiro accompanies Terry.
* The French version of PES 6 has Didier Drogba and Thierry Henry as cover stars.[1]

* The Australian version of PES 6 has John Aloisi as its cover star. Aloisi is a huge fan of the series.

* The German version of PES 6 has Adriano Leite Ribeiro and Roque Santa Cruz on the cover.

* The Swedish version of PES 6 has Adriano Leite Ribeiro and Kim Källström on the cover.

* The Polish version of PES 6 has Adriano Leite Ribeiro and Maciej Zurawski on the cover.

* The Spanish version of PES 6 has Adriano Leite Ribeiro and Cesc Fàbregas on the cover.

* The Pro Evolution Soccer series has wide and devoted international fanbase, with online and LAN competitions regularly held and organised over the internet. They are often critical of the FIFA series, Pro Evolution Soccer's main competitor.

* Game leaked in French 11th of October, 2006

* Game leaked in English 24th of October, 2006
