.definately, variation is the key - the only teams I've used online in ranked player matches, bearing in mind I've played around 40, are Valencia, Sevilla, West Ham and Udinese and EVERYONE else I've played have been either Inter, Chelsea, Barca, Arsenal or Man Utd...winning with those teams when playing as a lesser team proves nothing, just that you rely on 90+ stats to help you win games.
Its worth it though, the satisfaction of stuffing them with a lesser team. I managed to beat a guy who was Man Utd playing as Sevilla 3-0. The pathetic joke of person gave me negative feedback, just for sour grapes. I reply to him asking him why? No response.

What's the point moaning bout people picking the same team? Big deal, I usually chose Inter, AC, Portugal, Spain, Scotland and Serbia and Montengro. (at PES 4) I do not lose a lot, the people on my friends list that are ranked higher are only there because they have played a lot more matches, but i have a much better win/loss ratio. The truth is, if you are a good PES player it shouldn't matter who the other person picks. Somebody went France against me, so i chose Serbia and beat them 2-0, they weren't so cocky after the match, oh and they didn't have one shot on target. The only reason i chose Inter and AC is cos i have specific tactics and formations for both of them, plus most folk go Brazil anyway.

thats good news for me that people pick inter because now i can be sure that its going to be a fair match when other people pick brasil, milan or man. utd. since they are so overrated in we9 and they will be overrated in PES2007 as well.
to john4 you think inter is overrated well look at the players they have right now and also look at the other players like maldini hes on the bench and old but in the game still has incredible stats or vieri; he sucks now.

oh Yeah, anothe Inter fan joy of joys, i've supported Inter for years, and i certainly don't just pick them cos i want points, cos i managed to play in exactly the same style with Serbia and Messina, so i think i might be pretty good, without having to pick the Brazils or Madrids

yup i had to request a good formation for inter in here cause i was tired already of all of those pickin brasil milan and man utd(i referto these thee teams because there are the one that all of those cunts play the most)

Yup,Inter have a high stats,BUT see their consistency,is so low as it should be so they arent THAT good as people thinks.Yes,I hate Inter,but that doesnt mean their stats should be lowered so stop moaning about stats and stuff.

Yea i always played 4-3-3 with Inter, with two defensive midfielders in front of centre backs, one attacking just behind forwards and the forwards in a sort of V shape with one through the middle and two on each side further back. Oh i also pushed the defence back a lil bit and changed my strategy to all B's cept counter attack, kept that at A Put Veron or Recoba on all free kicks, penaltys etc and everything works out great

kainlegacy i dont wanna get into much more discussion but if milan was that good then why didnt they win the champions league or the scuddeto (which juve won and still have lower stats then milan in pes5) or the copa italia?? milan is the club teams with the highest stats in we9i

I agree that playing with a lesser team means you have to put in more effort, i.e. you've got to play more of a passing game rather than a sprinting game because the lesser teams generally don't have the players with that ability.
You've also got to think though, teams like chelsea and barca have players with the ability to do things other teams can't, which makes how you play more exciting because you can make a visually impression game.
At the end of the day, you don't here managers of teams say I've not bought david beckham this summer because I want to prove to people that I'm tactically better than Wenger or Ferguson. Managers buy the best players they can to win games, and it's the same with PES, people play as the better teams to win games and get points.
It's all down to preference. You can't say it's wrong or gay to play as chelsea or manu, simply because its not.

Some decent points there Ned, but I think overall people are saying it's crap to always pick a good/great team because it is easier to win. Beating someone online as Barcelona is much easier than beating someone as Charlton Athletic. It's fine to go as those teams now and then, but people who claim to be great and only go those teams haven't really proven themselves.
