60 minutes gone, you're 2-0 up and cruising while the hapless opposition tries to get a grip of the game. All of a sudden, a substitution happens or maybe a change of tactics (AI Attacking/Defensive mentality) and you can probably see a change of striker or a defender has joined the attack to try and get something out of the match. With no prior warning of the oppositions sudden steroids boosts in all of their players, you notice a few funny things that's happening in the match that you've never seen beforehand:
1) a 170+ cm (or less) player is winning headers against your giant of a defender and knocking them about Diego Costa style.
2) The opposition suddenly learned how to do one-touch passing and almost always they will find players at the final third and your whole defense panics at what can they do to stop them.
3) 4 players come rushing to your controlled player like a madman on drugs trying to win the ball back and you desperately try to quickly pass the ball to your nearest teammate. (most of the time they somehow nick it off you!)
4) Your players feel like they've just had 4 buckets of KFC and have never trained in years. First touch is like a short pass sometimes and it takes them forever to turn.
5) Corner! (This is my personal experience) Opposition has a corner and you set your team nicely with a mix of zonal and man to man marking. The ball comes in and your 6ft2in defender is in position to head the ball away but what does he do? He stands still and so it happens a short opposition player is just behind him and he nods the ball home to pull one back!
Well these are some of the scenarios that I've faced while playing ML in Top Player difficulty, don't even get me started on the refereeing. Does anyone share the same experiences as me?
