Another BAL bug??

Has anyone else noticed that sometimes, your rating after a match, if viewed in the match details screen, is different to the rating on the 'manager' screen after the match?

A good few times now I have noticed that if I got a crap rating, like 5.5 or even 6, that when the 'manager' screen loaded up, I actually had a rating of 6 or 6.5 (respectively).

Anyone else have this issue?

Why on earth would the game give you two different ratings, if only 1 is required??

The only thing I can think of that may make a difference is the managers defence rating, it may add a little to a poor rating if you get an A for defence.

Well I most certainly have not gotten an A rating for defence!

I'm pretty sure it must be a bug, as its your in-game rating that gives you the progress in the managers screen.

Anyone else any ideas?

It's not a bug. It's based of real life.

Ever played in a sports team? You could be hailed for what you do on the pitch but the manager/coach could tear you a new one for doing this or that wrong.

I believe that the scores are SUPPOSED to be different, because it comes from different sources.

Your match rating is basicaly what the Media would give you (newspapers, experts etc) for your efforts on the FIELD. And your Manager rating is what the manager would give you, depending on what you do for the TEAM.

Stop looking for bugs.

^Yea or another way of looking at it would be to say that the rating on match details is like Opta stats in real life... just a figure calculated the same way every time, as a result of the combination of your stats in all the different areas i.e. passing, shooting, fouls etc.

Yes, I have played in a sports team, soccer actually, professionally too, and currently play at an amateur level, so I'm well aware of what managers say pmsl!

But this is a 'game' where these ratings are meant to be utilised to progress.

Also, considering that 99% of the time they are the same, and the managers rating has NEVER been lower than the in-game one, I can only conclude that they are one and the same, but something goes wrong the odd time.

Never mind the fact that a 'difference' is not documented anywhere leads me to conclude also that its a bug.

The game is only out, and WILL be full of bugs. Stop trying to look for perfection that doesn't exist.

The point I was making was that people are very keen to call a lot of things bugs, to the point where the meaning of it has gone lost.

A bugfree game is a utopia. I'm aware of that.

Sure, you could argue that the manager rating is something that "produces an incorrect result" - but the fact that it's represented distinctively from the match rating is an argument for it NOT being a bug.

Don't be so quick to jump down my throat just to jump down my throat. My words were "Stop looking for bugs", with which I meant only that people oughta stop purposely looking for something to complain about.

I think this year's rating system is fairly OK however there are a few things to improve.

I cant seem to name them.

How does the rating system work again?

as a AMF i am playing as a CMF i score 2 goals.

But my rating is 7?

As a striker the rating is higher however.

Sometimes you just cant get a pass through(stupid ai players XD)

They should reconsider the rating system.

The worst BAL bug is that when you create a winger, all teams will play you on the right side. Even if you pick the left side as you favourite position. That's annoying.
