welcome to my thread...

As 2008 is coming to an end...and 2009 begins who wins...FIFA OR PES??..

right i'll start with the problem...where i live, me and my friends are constantly arguing..."PRO'S BETTER"...no..."FIFA'S BETTER"...but seeing as there are alot more people on this forum, I want to find out on people's true opinions on these games!...and if they had to choose between FIFA OR PES...what one would they have? their reason's why?...and what's hot and not about the game...

personally i am a big PES fan this year....

"tell me what you think...."

...OR...

I'm a fan of both tbh. You can't beat FIFA's on-line, but off line I prefer to play Pro.

alot of people are still using the "pro is rubbish because you can't play online"...i totally understand where your coming from...so you play fifa as an online game but pro as a offline game??...master league ;) lool!...gameplay wise though, what game is honestly more realistic?...

As they said. Online fifa is better but as an offline game, Pes has better and more realistic gameplay.

depends...are you a big PES fan? loool!...i mean last year i bought fifa :|:| lool...so i could at least play online and get challenging for the top haha... :) but i don't understand...can anyone explain to me why fifa servers are so much better than konami's?...or why pes is like it is online...but i have to say its only some of the time when pes go's tit's up...

ezio i love the signature you have at the bottom (y)... :) infact im also going to quote it if you don't mind lool :)

"FIFA still does a good job, but it just doesn't seem to tweak our footballing nipples the same way. "

Feel free. I took it from a review on Fifa though I don't remember which one now :)

I am a big PES fan and I really don't play online a lot so I am not sure it is worth it. I have had a few decent games online of pes 2009 but when the lag kicks in it stinks. I don't think I would play Fifa much offfline so maybe I will just stick to PES since I still think it play better than Fifa at least from the demos anyway.

ohhh yeah of course when the lag kicks in, its actually the most frustrating thing EVER!! loool! :)...so is it fifa for christmas for you then?... :) lool

i think you have valid point that offline pes is a much better game becoz of the gameplay etc...but when it comes to online play, if you don't want lag and want to concur the world (if your good enough) haha then its fifa all the way...

We'll see. I may rent first and then decide. As said I don't play online a lot so it may not be worth it :)

Pro evo's gameplay and edit mode, with Fifa's stadiums, number of teams, manager mode and online mode would be almost perfect. Maybe Konami can start to look towards this.

I had Fifa at first but traded it in, decided enjoying the actual game of football was more important than the aesthetic features of Fifa.

There are no if's buts or maybes, if you want the closet thing to football simulation gameplay wise Pes is your game.

exactly MR darkstar...isn't that what we all want out of a football game?...the way it plays and puts you in the game?...

i don't think kits should be a complaint towards the game because FIFA pays wayyyy to much money to get the licenses so people can complain out PES's none kits and names...really PES already has everything we want, the gameplay the graphics all it needs...IS ONLINE PLAY!!... KONAMI needs to sort this, quick and fast before next october for PES 2009 and for its new release...

Pes 2009 all the way. Even online i am truly enjoying it, lucky that i don't experience much lag though, which is great.

I honestly think that Pros Master leauge is better, for longevity and the fact that fifas only lasts like 4 seasons is a joke, the actually premiership and correct leauges would be nice in the master leauge but its something i can live with :)

and as for you second point....Well done my man :)

I tried to rent Fifa but haven't been able to. I think someone is trying to tell me to stick to PES :) I am going to try online again to see how it goes but I am enjoying PES offline.

Man knowledge is power so i would say go for it get as much fifa playing time as you can, i personally think fifa sucks but i have played it enough to know that, there is no use contesting something that you do not have a good insight into, i have no fear, i think if you play fifa i will just make you love pes more:)

Im going to disagree with the posts so far. If you want a fun game. . . choose PES if you want the most in depth a realistic footy sim then choose fifa. . . .i would agree its prob more 'boring' but its cos you gotta work your space with passing moves and utilize your best/strongest/quickest players. I dont mean playing fifa with all controls on assissted cos that too easy and for nooby fifa children. Even seabass has admired fifas engine and said he is not trying to make a footy sim but something fun for everyone. . . . i guesss it just depends onwhat you want out of the game. personally though fifa takes it this year, i hope that pes delivers a whole new engine and does go for a sim next year then itll back in my ps3 n 360
